Besides, my FX and stocks trading are uitize institutions methodology systems related.

I mentioned before in others FX thread. Investment banks traders they don't measures in terms of pips values, but others forms of elements.

I think you still don't get it.

It's not the end results that matter. It's the spirit of sharing that matters. ie share a new open/short position.

As a reader, he/she can judge if the trading ideas are good or not.

Good if most calls are profitable. If the trading ideas are all losers, why would anyone follow?

Snake oil salesmen are those that boast profitable positions only or try to horse back canon.

Those positions have been around for ages and your point being? And you are not into forex so why you die die want to close this thread unless you are.........

I prefer to use pips. If your trades are based on 10 pips profits then only the lot size matters. Even if you want to cut loss or breakeven still need to count pips.

I am only interested in how you guys manage risks in your trade and position sizing i.e. The second order thinking.

Only amateurs are interested in what you buy. These people should go join Canberra and aw bro because they don't have original ideas on their own. Thus need to copy others.
Really a joke, you still think so high on yourself, people long enough SSI will know what is in your brain, never mind you enjoy your world, good luck little kid

I think awful bro has improved a lot and he major in index.
Thanks, I am still learning and doing quite ok but I know I still got long way to learn unlike the owner here who think so highly of himself but people can see how he reacted when trade go against him and start to point finger at other where no body ask him to follow, so childish act, anyway I am not pro but the owner said this thread only for pro, so I guess this will be my last post here, thanks bro

No it's Canberra and Knight-Rider and his numerous clones/followers. Btw I am still sore

You are talking as if they are some sort of cult leaders!

You are still sore because you are exposed by Mr.Canberra and other credible forumers here? :s13:

I have to stand up for the Mods here for the malicious remarks made by Knight_Rider and ExtremeWays.

It is truly laughable when one snakeoil salesman and one troll can accuse the Mods of favouritism/double standard without producing hard evidence when their nefarious objectives are not met.

Mods are volunteers and do not get paid. Instead of expressing appreciation for the thankless job and time that the Mods put in these jokers turned around and bite the platform that allows them to post (in this case selling trading software/course and making junk comments) in the first place. :s13:

If I am the Mod I will ban these two jokers as a deterrence to future offenders. :D

I feel that knowing how to manage positions and risks are important than getting the directions right. Unlike stock markets, forex is more of a creativity game

Risk management rules and theories, you can easily search online and books. Only salesmen will try to sell you these. Salesmen will not share with you trading ideas.

In the forum, people share trading ideas. It's the other way.

Same like SeekingAlpha website. Retail investors will share their trading ideas. Salesmen will try to sell their proprietary systems.

I'm not sure where did you get your stats. Go to myfxbook. The top traders have 50-60% winning rates.

Anything less than 50% winning rate, you are better off at the casinos.

Of your 10000+ post I have not seen you share a single idea so what you selling? No stop loss propriety system?

At least I have shared a 1000pips GBPUSD move and others. But you dare call me a salesman how laughable.

risk management is a theory. not an exact science.
eg. most tell u not to risk 1-2% of trading accnt.
but 1-2% of $1000 for a retailer is much different from a fund manager managing $100k.

2% of IM $1000 is $20 is about 2pip in a std lot or 200 pip in micro lot. easily hit stop lost in times of high volatility.

1-2% is standard practise. Risk reward ratio if high then it will keep your profit better. tradingwithrayner risk reward was in-consistence and he just disappeared.

not every profitable trader use myfxbook.. only those who want to sell signals, their courses etc will use it

my stats may be wrong, but just saying that you can be a profitable trader even with just a 40% winning rate.. e.g. if your risk to reward ratio is 1:2 or greater, you will still be profitable in the long run

Since you said profitable traders don't share their statistics, so where did you get the 40%?

40% winning rate with 1:2 risk reward ratio will give you an expected returns of 2% only. This is borderline. Any black swan events can completely wipe out all of these returns.

So I don't think 40% winning rate is a sustainable rate which you claimed previously.

many videos and articles online do the maths that you can be profitable with a 40% win rate

e.g. $1000 capital with risk reward 1:2,

40% win - $800 profit
60% loss - $600 loss
net profit = $200

That is 20% returns
