I have a lump sum of $50,000 on hand now, that is disposable for investment. However, there is also a possibility that within the next 5 years I might have a large sum expense, as such, I would prefer to keep this funds liquid. I understand these are contradicting criteria. As such, I also understand it is not possible to keep the funds fully liquid and yet at the same time undertake zero risk. Just to be clear, I'm not expecting zero risk.
Ideally, along the way, I will be expecting to pump in another $50,000 from now till December to this investment amount.
I am open to ideas on how I can manage this money; also open to having someone manage it for me at a fee-however, there must be something great in your proposal (obviously).
