0.01 lot per $500 account. If you trading 1 lot that's $50000 to prevent daily cardio excercise.
The method you describe is how a martingale algo works. I know and I repair before because the robot lose 10 times. Your account is not large enough for the 11th trade and retracement that's why burst. That was discussed long ago with Alex. I am not gonna go into that. Just top up and I'll offer my service. Min 2 months work to salvage your account. Looks like nobody is keen and we shall not discuss further.

Gold is seasonal trade. Been like that all these years. Just hoot and close before CNY.
