Nothing to do with the GBP spike. GBP spike is due to BOE's statement about interest rate hike in the coming months.

JPY is falling against USD and USD is falling against GBP. Totally confusing.

Nothing confusing about that.

Various crosses will affect the outcome.

Basically for now:
GBP is bullish for most crosses.
USD is bearish except for JPY.

After 6pm and towards New York opening then USD strength may return. Refer to US 10 Year Bond Yield for direction.

US retail sales for Aug will get a bump due to consumers stocking up on essentials in preparation for Hurricane Haley.

I believe traders will start to price in USD strength (LONG) as we approach 8:30pm SGT.

PS: My calls are not applicable for the cursed GBP. Pui pui pui!
