So BOE is just hinting that they interest rates will rise. They will probably rise by 0.25%. But GBP is now 4-5% higher, isnt it too much of a rise?

Priced in now as market is always forward looking 3 months ahead.

ya -100 pips to 100 pips back :s22:

Major manipulation going on today. Pip movement run up too quick for USD/JPY.

Later when the big boys prata it will take out all the stops. :s13:

Whatever positions you guys have now. Sit tight if you have holding power. Do not open or close any positions now. Sometimes doing nothing equals doing something especially if you are dealing with an invisible army. Let them make the moves first.

GBP/USD

I believe big boys target is to push until around 1.366 before prata. Reference from weekly chart (20/06/2016).

If you are brave enough you can place a limit sell order above 1.366 level. :D

You can tikam and place super low or high ball stops for other currency pairs. Sometimes miracles do happen haha. :s13:

These 5 Singapore-Listed Stocks Fell To Zero (Or Nearly There) And What Happened To Them

https://sg.yahoo.com/finance/news/5-singapore-listed-stocks-fell-040011297.html

Stocks and bonds can go to zero but not Forex.

Unless the Forex you punt is from this country. :s13:

CFTC: Speculative accounts decreased their net...

CFTC: Speculative accounts decreased their net euro longs and their net yen shorts according to Friday's CFTC data. The CFTC's COT report, non-commercial, futures-only section, excluding options, showed speculators had a net euro long position of +86,058 contracts as per Sept. 12, vs +96,309 contracts the prior week, which was the largest net euro long in over six years. On May 3, 2011, speculators had a net euro long of +99,516 contracts. Spec accounts had a net yen short of -57,297 contracts as per Sept. 12, vs -72,945 contracts in the prior week. This compared to the net short of -126,919 contracts, seen July 18, which was the largest net yen short since Jan. 7, 2014, when speculators had a net yen short of -128,868 contracts. The euro closed near $1.1967 and dollar-yen near Y110.17 on Sept. 12 vs levels late Friday around $1.1946 and Y110.84.

CFTC: Sterling short positions have been trimmed...

CFTC: Sterling short positions have been trimmed. Friday's CFTC data showed that speculative accounts had a net sterling short of -46,085 contracts as per Sept. 12, vs -52,927 contracts last week. This compared to the net short of -107,844 contracts seen March 21, which was a new record. Sterling closed at $1.3283 on Sept. 12 and held near $1.3596 late Friday. Cable earlier posted a high near $1.3616, the highest level since June 24, the day after Brexit, when the pair saw a range of $1.3229 to $1.5018. Given the run-up since Tuesday, sterling shorts have likely been trimmed further.
