DOLLAR-YEN: The pair has vaulted past the previous top of Y117.41 to a high of
Y117.58. BoJ offered no surprises in their policy statement, sources are
indicating the move was purely flow driven in fairly thin markets. Resistance is
seen at Y117.61 which marks the 50% fib Y118.66-Y116.55, a break opens Y117.86
(61.8% on the same move), while hourly support is seen near Y117.00. Dollar-yen
has backed away from the high and currently trades at Y117.38.

DOLLAR-YEN: Demand said to come from 'the desert' has seen the rate ease through resistance at Y117.61 to print a high of Y117.74. Investors are now beginning to eye Kuroda's press conference at 0630GMT. Resistance is now seen at Y117.84 which marks the 61.8% fib on the Y118.66-Y116.55 decline, while initial support is now seen at Y117.46 (38.2% on today's Y116.99-Y117.74 range). Dollar-yen was last at Y117.60.
