I have the same polo on the left as Rahman in size M, altered to a slimfit cut. Fits S-M. However, the tags were cut off by my mum. Just a question here, will any bros here actually be interested in an authentic piece of FP without tags?

hey, the replica polos are getting more to the Grade AAAA ++ standard.
so here are my tips to differenciate the fake n real. quite useful.
i've done my own research for a while.

The polo tee should not have a slit at the end, like the RL polo has. The piping of the polo ard the sleeves and collar is sewed on. so when you feel it, there's this embossed "feel" on it, where the fake one is juz color print. no bump of the pipping. totally flat feel.

juzt my 5c 10c tips.

cheers.

With regards to the ebay fp,2 years back when I started playing labels I ordered 5 of them and found out in the end they were fake.I suggest people to avoid it not only because of the issue of authenticity but the sizing is really damn bad.The 36'' one fits like 40'' some are even extremely long and baggy at the waist.Very bad buy.Since then I have started a thread on this forum to inform people since then.Hope people are more aware by now.

By the way fp fans here.I wanna order some fp tops from the fp web and have a few questions:

1)Will all my items incur a 15% VAT?Or am i exempted cos i am overseas and not residing in europe

2)When will they restock the items as currently the models i want doesnt carry my size

3)Any chance these will still be available when they restock:

fredperry.com/men/t-shirts/multicoloured-branded-t-shirt.html

fredperry.com/houndstooth-branded-t-shirt.html

fredperry.com/men/shirts/the-slim-fred-perry-shirt.html
Colourways I am keen:
Green / Yellow / Mahogony
Grey / Yellow / Blue Atoll

2) and 3) I have emailed them about when they restock, their reply was:
Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your email. I am afraid if there is no stock of a particular style avaliable at the present time, there is no guarantee it will become avaliable again this season.

Replenishment on the site occurs Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons so it would be best to check back at those times.

So, I guess you have to keep on checking their web. You can try asos.com too for your OOS items.

1) their prices already included the 15% VAT. We won't be getting any VAT refund back if ordering from fredperry.com even if we are not residing in UK. We'll be paying the price stated. :s7:

Haha, true, I was checking out the twill messenger bag everyday. They don't restock every item everytime they restock, so really must wait for a lucky day. :)

Do you know?

-Figgie International completes sale of its London-based Fred Perry Sportswear business in 1995

-Fred Perry Sportswear business is now fully-owned by Hit Union Co Ltd of Osaka, Japan

-Fred Perry Ltd of UK operates as a subsidiary of Hit Union Co Ltd

-A Singapore company licensed to produce Fred Perry apparels subcontracted the production to China

-The apparels produced were parallel-imported to Japan

-This leads to a court case and implementation of new law in Japan to protect the trademark owner

-For more info read article

-This article is 1 of the most simplified version
-Got more details of court papers available on the World Wide Web
-Licensed company in Singapore subcontracted the production to China factories
-Products then paralled imported to Japan
-Not considered as counterfeit but rather an unauthorized batch of apparels
-Court ruled Hit Union Japan winning the legal case
-Singapore company appealed but still did not win
-This case ended up as a milestone of Japan's history in legal case regarding parallel imported stuff and are often being referred to law students and practitioners as case studies

ooh now tats interesting! dint now Hit Union Japan actually owns FP overall. LOLx

anyway nt surprised on the "parallel import/unauthorized batch of apparels" thingy. Other consumer sports brands in the past has been plagued with such issues namely Nike, Adidas etc.

i remb last time gotch this shoe shop at suntec which so-called sold "limited edt" nike sneakers at premium prices due to the un-common colour schemes used, esp AirMax95 collection... knn all ish actually unauthorized batch of products made extra by the licensed factory themselves and sold on the black mkt at premium prices disguised as ltd edt or 1-off designs.

FP polos knows no bounds regards to the number of combinations on the colours and twin-tips collars, which would be even harder to track. Please buy from legit sources!

my 2 cents worth!

wallet looks good! but FP leather(or is it PVC?) wallets don't seem to be smooth. Lower grade of leather?

Happen to have this wallet lying at home now. It's real leather. Quite smooth actually, perhaps ASOS pictures too high resolution, that's why doesnt look smooth.
