and the big spenders have finally appeared as well lol.. anyway winorlose has sum up what those with families are experiencing.. spend money on family is not as wasteful as what others thing.. its worth it if u are a parent. i get more joy interacting with my kid than looking at my bank balance and investments..

btw, i think we should keep this thread to chit chat.. while ppl here are chitchatting, STI move up..

Dont worry too much abt yyhwin. I know he is a survivor and will do very well in future. $800 a month taxes. Work that backwards. I think abt $150K chargeable income a year? So young and already earn so much. Probably $500K a year by the time he is 40 years old. I salute people like him.

Moi income cannot increase further, only will increase if i dare to take risk and venture beyond my current comfort zone(but that means a equal downside risk as well).

Nothing much to talk also, market normally perform better early of the year, like new year or CNY time, not sure about this year though.

The rate hike has effectively killed asian markets. Hard to see chance to get those good blue chips at such a low price, DBS PE less than 10 and huge dividend yield for a bank.

Now i no money liao, if not sure buy more to keep, ignore short term market price fluctuation.

From what i notice, those who spend less are mainly below 30.. those in their 30s-40s have different spending power so their habits are different.. nothing wrong since money is ultimately meant to be spent...
