Din dare to count paper loss, but I was lucky coz I chose the correct counters,citi and spc.

everytime i see my cpf portfolio, i see junk stocks still holding

my paper loss in my cpf portfolio was like 70% down still..

during down market, can consider pressing reset button

restart portfolio

that portfolio was full of junk lol

selling all these junk to pay contra loss i guess was the best decision..

nearly got into deliquency myself then.. lol

I bought at $3.0X, which was low at that time. I had thought of cutting loss when it stabilize at $2.8x, but was holding out for OPEC to react (the Saudis can't burn cash forever if they are fighting a long term war). I can wait it out, as long as SMM doesn't get bought over or taken private at a sh!t poor price.

Quite a number of stocks fell hard at 2007 high and never recover back.
Need to be quite selective in choosing counters, cannot just keep averaging down.
Sometimes, greed prevails. Sigh.

From a poor family for your information.
I started working since very young age. When I studied university, I spent most of my time working part time. It is not that difficult actually, just that you need to have strong self discipline to keep working and saving.

I am 30 years old this year, but I have worked for roughly 10 plus years already if include all my part time jobs. Most people start saving and investing after they graduate from university, I don't.
