NV residences too. However it can only be tied to one mobile phone number.

I can imagine problems when the person travels overseas and someone at home ordered food delivery.

Should I take the risk lol !?

What u use the switch for ? Led strips ?

Is it the number of lights it operate when it is turn on that causes the burnt out ?

Update, one of my non neutra Aqaral switches died. According to logs, it died yesterday around 6pm plus. Took it out just now, it looks perfectly fine, no burnt marks or melting. Simply died. Cut power at circuit breaker, reseated cables, no joy. Replaced with a spare new Aqara switch and back in business again. Looks like reliability could be an issue. This particular switch has been part of an automation routine whereby it will switch on welcome light when motoon is detected by sensor. Perhaps the internal switching mechanism has a limited life?

I bought a non neutral single Aqara switch to play but having decided not to use it, I didn't even bother unpacking it.

If anyone wants it, PM me. You can have it for whatever you deem it's worth. Free also can. It's gonna collect dust with me anyway.

Hi thinking of doing some HA in my bto.

So far after reading through this thread, i have came up with the following simple set up:
1)Broadlink rm pro
2)Google home mini
3)Broadlink or sonoff wall switches for lights and neutral wires for these switches
4) maybe some ir blaster like broadlink blackbean to control distant devices
I have some questions though...
1) How can i control (on off it) my water heater? Some mention that it requires a conductor or something? Whats that?
2) with my setup, can i set automated instructions like at 7am turn on lights, play music?
3) can i control my xiaomi cleaning robot with this setup?
4) how can i also turn on and off my wifi router? If i switch off it supposedly nothing will work?
5) Any suggested lightbulbs for my setup where I can set the color and brightness?
6) Also I saw some websites mention homey instead of broadlink?

another update on my Aqara situation, the automation routine which involves the previous switch if edited to delete the old and add the new switch , doesn;t work. have to delete the whole routine and create from scratch again

depends on your situation ba, if u are gonna do renovation, then prob not. cos its better to lay neutral line and install. However if u just wanna improve on stuff in your place, worth a shot...but failure rate seems pretty high.
