I think both of us are looking at the same thing since I'm doing for my new BTO also ^^
And yes my plan now is getting fibaro Hub and MCO switch..
Going for the home center lite?

hey guys....which setup out there can let me use voice control without....for example,
Fibaro -- ok google let me speak to Fibaro or ok google ask fibaro to turn on the tv
homey - alexa, tell homey to turn the lights
I not really sure whats the activation words like but i know its something like the above.
any setup out there can simply tell fibaro or homey to, "ok google, turn on the lights" instead of adding on additional "ask Fibaro/tell homey"?
with home assistant.. u can achieve "alexa, switch on living room lights"... same to google home

You do not need to say "let me speak to Fibaro" for Fibaro units as it's fully supported, same with other hubs that are fully compatible with Google Home. It's only on something like Homey you need to "tell homey" as it's still not fully supported via Google Home. Once Homey manage to negotiate with Google for full support, all you need to do is say "Hey google, switch off lights" instead of ask homey.hey guys....which setup out there can let me use voice control without....for example,

Your best bet is to wait for Homey to gain full Home support. Wait for Athom to negotiate finish with Google, because right now to activate Homey it's super clunky, but Homey is one of the few hubs that support almost everything, even ZigBee and Z-Wave. That said, there are some glaring issues with the Homey, here's a video that highlights them:I like the idea of Home Assistant but due to the latest firmware update i cant pair my new xiaomi gateway anymore (unable to get developer key)
What are the other alternatives (localised network) that supports various brands but particularly xiaomi and google home? If it has a decent UI would be a bonus as compared to spending my wkend editing yaml files![]()
Anyone has recommendation for Zigbee or Z-Wave light switches? Is the Xiaomi Aqara stable? Looking to get a Hubitat.
Ah ok. So far I read Aqara drivers for Hubitat is developed by a user for Hubitat, so I'm kinda worried it might not work well with Hubitat.Bullfrog using it since last yr June/July. So far he say no problem la. Will most likely go for the xiaomi smart switches as well.

Damn ok. I don't intend to use the gateway as I read Hubitat can interface with it directly via Zigbee. It's really hard to find 220v light switches with Zigbee, I find on amazon UK and it's mostly Aqara ones.I'm using aqara switches and xiaomi gateway to work with Home Assistant. However, the latest firmware update for xiaomi gateway disables the developer mode access which HA needs. I didn't update so it still works. However for those that did, it seems to have broken HA. Don't believe there is a way to roll back either.

May I know which version of the gateway disables the developer mode access? I have upgraded mine and it seems that I am still able to get the network key and communicate with other xiaomi sensors/switches.
