I hope Apple will make iOS 7 smooth on A5(X) devices. Most of their product line actually runs on those chips, including the iPad mini (which has almost all new features such as airdrop).

iOS 7 is beautiful, sleek and simple, but indeed there's some copying. Some interesting article on Apple iOS7 versus Windows Phone OS design.

Is Apple's iOS 7 Inspired By Windows Phone OS? | TechTree.com

The most glaring copying is the so-call cards feature-- it is actually copied from WebOS. I would have preferred Expose (from Mac OS X) to come to the iPhone via a simple gesture. But other than that, most are not exact clones because the design is incredibly minimalistic compared to stock Android and Windows Phone.

What is a flat design?

The best link to describe the comparisons between flat versus skeuomorphic designs.

And Sir Jony Ive on design philosophy, hevaily influenced by Dieter Rams.

The MacBook Air is really the epitome of a flat design with correct curves at the right places, yet so minimalistic and stripped down in features.:s12:

I love how everything is buttery smooth on iPhone 5 on iOS 6. Hope it stays that way in iOS 7 GM release.

All I have to say.. Is nice for a change. A bit buggy, expected that but can live with it no issue. Therefore, for us the early adopter will have a feeling of "when beta 2 is coming?" Hehe.

the fact is everyone copeid from someone
at some point.

the new ios7 is just a redesigned to bring
itself to a more modern look and feel

would definitely a great update to most ios 7 user
but it would be quite a challenge for some too
as with skeuomophic gone, it might be a struggle
to understand what each icon represent

iOs7 definitely feel modern and updated with feature
but the design seem to be in a total mess
a mEsher of stuff all over the system
control centre look so different from the res
what's with all the mixage of round and sharp design
it's so not the Apple we once know

oh...by ripping of so much stuff from
wp which is not a popular system as of now

plus Apple has a cross design agreement with Microsoft
so they will be safe from Microsoft lawyers

maybe they. Apple will hope that no one will notice the similarity with WP
Apple is just being sneaky

But nevertheless it's a nice and timely update

Does it work well for iPhone 4?

I am not sure but I actually favour the old theme and design :X. Guess I am 1 of the SJ kind to like the skeuomorphism style. I only dislike the wood and leather stuff. lol

You'll receive email from Apple when release of next beta version, if you're developer.:D

iOS7 theme for iOS6
Not the real thing but it doesn't look too bad :s13:
And I still get to keep my jailbreak :)
ios7.PNG

look quite nice but, font size, signal, battery size are different, you should feedback to the theme developer to correct and enhance the details :D

Just came back from JB shopping.

A word of caution to those who have iOS 7 beta, to disable cellular data instead of relying on the Data Roaming when overseas with the iPhone in question. I had the Data Roaming off(no data) but according to the cellular data log, the phone used 140kb data while roaming. This was unaccounted for so I suspect it is a bug.

i don't think it's due to iOS 7, can oso happen on iOS 6... this happened to me and my wife's iphones last dec so now we turn off cellular data whenever overseas
