Anyone tried updating to iOS 7, did a backup. Then later downgrade back to iOS 6. Can the backup that u did while on ios7 work when u downgrade back to iOS 6?

Hey guys, I am still on 6.1.4, how did you all managed to update to ios 7.0

There is no option for me, plug into itune, it states no available update.

I tried using the phone software update, it states the software is up to date iso 6.1.4.

Its a beta and you have to be a developer to use it.

Wow, so many developers here.

A lot of people here are "developers".

Just a note to those "developers" using iOS7 now. Apple can very easily deactivate your phone and disable your UDID. Remember, Activation Lock works both ways ;)

Check back a few pages, there are links to download the beta software. Don't have to be a registered developer. But as with any beta test, you test your phone at your own peril.

Just restored my phone. The restore from backup option didn't work (still gave my IOS7 beta). What I did was download a copy of ISO6.1.3 from the net, alt+restore my phone from itunes, then restore my settings from my earlier backup.

Now if there was only some way to quickly remove that irritating 'new' tag from all my redownloaded apps...=:p

Moderator's Note

Apple said:
Except as otherwise set forth in this Agreement, You agree not to rent, lease, lend, upload on any website or server, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the Apple Software or any services, in whole or in part, or to enable others to do so.

Guys, please do not share links to the iOS 7 beta firmwares here.
iOS 7 beta firmware is still under NDA to the developers.

Non developers should stay away.

Thanks!

another reason to stay away is simply because it's a huge battery hog and would make your phone really warm/hot.

It's refreshing to know that they made the effort to revamp the whole (or at least a huge part) of the OS. It gives us something to look forward to.

Just dl IOS7 on my ip4, looking good, all of my apps are working fine.
As it has already some lag on IOS6, hardly see any diff here.
The wallpaper don't have the moving type only have it in still. so they have limited some function on ip4.

iOS 7 matters?

zvonogy.com/post/52771538814/opinion-why-ios-7-is-not-just-about-new-ui-and

This article takes about why iOS 7 is a big deal. Do the developers here agree?

The dock background banner is pretty ugly in ios7, anyone knows of ways to make it transparent instead?

Think we just found out why the beta is draining so much juice.

Turn off "Frequent Locations" service.

Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Frequent Locations.

nice. i disabled all except compass calibration.

the frequent locations thingy is a bad idea if my wife finds out the places i frequent...
