Guys, the new home button will not work when you wear a glove. Just put your t-shirt over and test.

This is due to the fact that the home button is directly connected to the Touch ID and will need to sense your fingerprint before unlocking or registering a touch.

actually it has more to do with the home button being capacitive, not the fingerprint sensor.

Actually not really. You should be able to feel the haptic feedback if its a capacitive button.

also to prove my point, i used my knuckle to unlock the phone haha, pretty sure my knuckle doesnt have any fingerprint

This is not a issue, it's actually the limitation of the Telephoto Lens.

The iPhone's telephoto limitations

Unfortunately, when it comes to shooting 2x photos, the telephoto's hardware weaknesses result in a handicapped lens when you're in poor lighting conditions — and that's where the iPhone's software takes over.

I was initially rather confused when, upon snapping pictures with the iPhone 7 Plus at a restaurant, the telephoto images didn't look all that much better than previous years' zoomed shots. When I looked at the metadata, however, things became more clear: The images I took were actually snapped with the wide-angle lens and digitally zoomed 2x.

At first, I thought this had to have been a mistake, or a goof or my part, but repeated tests confirmed my suspicions: When the Camera app is in lower-light conditions (in my tests, anything under shutter speeds of 1/30-1/60 of a second), the telephoto will cede control to the wide-angle and its digital zoom. You can even test this for yourself by putting your finger over the wide-angle lens and entering 2x mode: If you're in good lighting conditions, you'll see your image, same as always; if you're in lower-light, all you'll see on the screen is a dark blob representation of your finger.

This is not a issue, it's actually the limitation of the Telephoto Lens.

Almost 14hrs and my phone still hasn't finished restoring. Is that normal? Moved from a 64gb previously.

mine was a 6s- 64
bought i7-128

back up took maybe less than 1 hr

restore... 1st time hand itchy ... accidentally flicked the lighting cable and disconnected

then try again, less than 1 hr

itunes.

you restore from ?? cloud or PC?

I tried the display set and zoom 10x and took photos, but the photo quality is horrible.
Is there something wrong with the setting?

10x is already digital zoom, off course it is bad.

The optical zoom only 2x.

For Digital zoom 5x still ok but not the 10x.

Simply summary.

- Digital Zoom is fake, it is software render & cropping the photo.

- Optical Zoom is real capture from the camera lens itself, not a software render and cropping.

I restored my ip6 to 7 pretty fast even I got used up left 20gb storage maybe u need a better cable

back up took maybe less than 1 hr

did u try updating your iTunes?
if ur iTunes not the latest version cannot detect iphone 7

Lucky we don't have winter here. But for those people living in countries with winter, it seems that they have to make do without a fingerprint lockscreen?
