Having used both platforms, on a personal level, android is way back in terms of UI design and related usability. I don't fancy needing to download this and that to get things to work. If iOS allows me to accomplish my tasks, ok. If it doesn't, I switch over to desktop. And yes I have also tried to download this and that on android, complete hassle and waste of time to me. I still stand firm, implementation is poor. UI usability is not something everyone notices, is what I learnt from my course of study.

Don't get me wrong through, should you choose to receive this as a bash, you're on your own ;)

note: I do love S7E camera :D

No idea is this a bug in 7 plus.

Zoom lens not working?

Tried to put my finger in front of the zoom lens. When switched to 2x zoom cannot find my finger in front the zoom lens. Tested 2. 1 kana.

If using Mac can use time machine to help you lor. Otherwise, Using windows or Mac just manually copy your library out to external drive thencopy back. Link your iTunes to your old library. Done :)

pls lor. peaceful over at android threads? u trying to deceive who? if someone were to go there and praised about iphone and how good it is, u see how they react.

either side also same one la. there will always be ppl defending for their preferred system.

oh if u think u got bashed, that's probably because u failed to acknowledge each system's flaws. u can keep praising iris scanner is useful, better security bla bla bla, but u also need to acknowledge the implementation is not so practical (home button+swipe den scan?). when u do that, that's what is called unbiased view.

Nehhh.. its people like this. Dont have to look through past posts to find lel. (Replying to a reply asking who bashed me haha)

Did I praise androids features? No.. I just merely stated the advantages that androids have over ios. Stating advantages is not the same as praising. I also state the advantages iphones have over androids. Why dont you say I praised iphones too?

Of course if you only praise ios in android forums people will react. But here I stated the advantages of both ecosystems and still got the same treatment? Why? Because people read what they dont like to read.

Like what I said in a previous post, new features are always a trial and error. Sure, the implementation of the iris scanner is not perfect and I agree with that since the beginning. New ideas and features are like that.. they simply dont work well and receive lots of criticism (like what you just did).

- Samsung first launched the note line a few years back and people said its too big. Now, it is common to have phones that size.
- The first gen iphones dont have an app store. You can only use preinstalled apps.
- LG tried going modular with the LGG5.. turns out really bad as the build quality sucked. (Then motorola came with the moto mods. Sub modularity but it is much better)
- And now, back to iphones. No headphone jack and some people complain about the audio quality.

All first gen features and products are like that. They are bound to improve and get better. Me not stating the flaws doesn't mean I dont recognise it.

Back to the iris scanner, though it is badly implemented, a software update can easily fix that. I added it as an advantage over iPhones only because iris recognition on a phone is thought to be a futuristic idea a few years back. But samsung surprised many by putting a fully functional and quick iris scanner on the n7. They did it quite well even though its a first gen feature. (Since you said that I am praising the iris scanner, this is how praising sounds like.) People who cared about security cared more about functionality over form and the iris scanner is good. Like I said, its only gonna get better. Its always a good to have compared to dont have.

Now about iPhones.. iPhones are good too. They are very fast, efficient, reliable, alluring, optimised, clean, brings (some) improvements to features on android (cos sometimes they did is worse. sometimes.) and it simply just works. But then the flaws are that the os is wayy too locked down, slow to implement important features available on other flagships, next gen products looks very similar to the previous gen, company lacks drive to innovate more etc.. Though the flaws may be a blessing in disguise.

Aiya shall we just end it here? At the end of the day its presonal choice lah. Its your money so its up to you to spend it. Like apple, buy apple products. Like samsung, buy Samsung products. Just dont anyhow go bash people when they are trying to help educate others to make their choice. You know its very tiring to type so much on a phone? Make peace not war can? :)

The 2X is not purely using the telephoto lens. Apple implemented some algorithms to check for available light. If at 2X zoom the available light is not enough, it will use the normal camera to zoom digitally as the aperture is larger to capture more light.

If you don't need below:
- a better camera
- water proof
- stereo speaker
- tiny bit better battery life
- matte/jet black
- 3.5mm headphone jack =:p

Then every other aspect is about the same as 6S.

unless u have to money to burn, personally, i think it's not much of an upgrade from 6s to 7. even my wife said she doesnt feel a tinge of temptation to change bcos not much difference. although i own a 7+ from a 6+, it didn't feel like a major change too. maybe bcos i haven't really used my 7+ yet. waiting for casing to reach. haha.

The guy debating above, nobody ask you to type you can just stop it. I know how it feels like to come into forums and bash here and there, maybe you too stress in life need to let off here. I also stress and find it amusing to read your posts. Thanks tho but your comments are not useful for everyone, at least not for me who tried both Android and iOS

so u think my post is considered bashing you? you probably are overly sensitive. :s13:

fyi, i am using both phones and i don't particularly favor one more than the other. just in case u think i'm a typical isheep.

have fun and enjoy the best of both world. no point going to different camps and saying how good their competitors are. you will naturally find yourself being bashed.:s22:
