They will change phone only. Now should have refurbished stock so can change immediately.

Sad refurbished set, means those returned before and possibility to of scratched phones issue etc..

PA: another reason for me to exchange is due to the reachability issue haha

Tbh I haven't had the need to exchange my iPhone since iPhone 4 lol.

Only heard stories from friends that they always gotten scratched sets when exchanged.

That's why now I'm leaning towards to call Apple and request for refund

Tried. So far no hissing. Just that the phone got bit warm.

U have to be in a totally quiet environment. Example inside a car with the engine off. Run the test, stick the back of your iphone to your ear, the part where the Apple logo is. I tested mine and heard a faint hissing sound. When I remove it from my ears, I couldn't hear the hissing sound. So, I dun think this will affect my daily usage or even warrant an exchange for me. I can live with this faint hissing sound. For those having bad battery life, can try disable iCloud Keychain. I read somewhere this improved the battery life for only iOS 10. Might have bug.

Yeah I did something like that, but I went to a corner of my room with all appliances switch off like fan and such.

Initially I thought I hear a hissing sound but realise is the 'baseline" sound when you place something close to your ears. Like a 'hollow sound". I tried 4K, bench mark, gaming and watching videos with many apps open and still can't get to hear it. I'm still being sceptical because some said it applies to ALL first batch of 7. But again I don't want to panic and change to a set that has more problems.

Overall I think this purchase has left some bitterness in my mouth.

But the problem is, how are they going to address this issue? Surely they won't do a recall. Refund? Replacement of faulty set and a bunch of gift cards?

Which benchmark app you run to reproduce the hissing sound?

I just ran the 3D apps like the new Oz Kingdom. You will need to attach your ears very closely to the back of your phone to hear them

PS: The overall issue now will be after some bros exchange also same issue, abit no point to exchange now

Wait for them to respond. So far no word from apple about this problem yet.

Damn, I think I just heard mine. Pressed the phone's back into my ear.

Not hearing a continuous hiss. Mine is like a very high speed clicking noise? Quite fast but close enough to hear the individual 'clicks". It's like someone igniting a spark, but really need to press my ear against the phone to hear the faint sound. :(
