If you are still within the 14 days window period you can actually call for a 1 to 1 retail unit exchange. That is if you bought it from Apple directly. Thats what i did with my SE for yellow tint issue. They gave me a brand new retail unit where the serial number matches the box. Another reason why i prefer to get from Apple direct.

I think I will just wait it out and see if Apple is going to address the issue (very unlikely). If not, I'll just ignore it since my hiss is very, very faint even when running a benchmark test with other apps opened.

Does the hissing sound start immediately after you start the test or it take some tiime?

Actually,I can even hear without running the 3D mark prg...can hear it even when loading web page..

The 14 days windows is from the date received rite?No slot in A.Lab,earliest would be on 29/09.

Wasnt a special request... the Apple guy just said "i'm so sorry this has happened and you should not be having this issue. Let me arrange another set to you but it may take a few days (that time SE was selling like hot cakes similar to whats happening now)."

And the next moment, they sent another set to me the next day !

Yes. If you have bought it from Apple, dont even involve the aasp, dont waste time waste effort. Wait you kena another "peter", end up you blood boil. Just call apple and choose the option "for assistance with a recent order...."

Thanks for the infos.Called the Apple support,the reply is :you have to bring it down to service centre for a check.Guess have to book online for an appointment.

That's pretty unique. I tried calling 1688, listen to the system talk, there's no hissing sound. Only faint hissing sound during test.

Mine too. But I'm not going to change it as I feel it doesn't affect my usage. I tried 4K video redcordings, no hissing sound. Except during those test.

I don't think the noise behind the logo is a big issue. What bothers me more is the recording playback has the coil whine noise

U meaning the hissing sound is being recorded in the video?? Mine doesn't have any hissing sound in the video.

Yea, when I play back a recording of a quiet room in full volume, the noise is VERY audible. No issues during call or anyth major behind logo.

Oic. I record it in my car, engine off. It was very quiet and when I play back the 4K video using the loud speaker, doesn't hear any hissing sound.
