are we able to buy applecare+ in US apple store(US129) instead of SG store(SGD229)? if let say i want to sell of iphone 7 after a year with additional applecare warranty, will I fetch higher price? if so what is the differences?

An update, I chat with Apple Support and gotten a case number before heading down to QCD.

The Apple CSO told me that I can use just this one case number and exchange both mine and my gf iPhone. Apparently they are aware of this issue and provide the exchange.

I just tested my iphone 7 and S7 Edge in a car with engine off. In this condition all I can hear is the ringing in my ear from tinnitus.

Record 4k video on both, and use voice recorder on both. Both sound about the same. just the usual static when i play at max volume through my jaybird x2. I tried opening a game (Kingdom hearts unchained x) on the iP7 too, and place the phone near my ears, also can't hear anything other than the ringing.

Yeah can confirm the hissing noise is audible during video playback after recording a 4K video. It's the high pitch sparking noise you all should look out for.

Do you need to make appointment like A.Lab before going down?

You may, but you can walk in. In a good day, you'll be served in less than 15 minutes. Sometimes, must wait half an hour to 1 hour. I usually go there at opening time, fresh and not tired to bang table in case I encounter another "Peter".

Yeah I tested in my car with engine off on both mine and my gf phone and listen with my Westone Um Pro 50 all I heard was my ear ringing but when I place my ear attached to the screen I can indeed hear mine.

I hope your unit is one of those unharmed ones! If really well cannot hear then don't bother keep finding it le lol

Mine is a 7. Just an update, the faint static noise can be heard on my 6 too but it is so faint and doesn't get picked up during video recording.

I'm no sound engineer but it seems like as long your ambient has a louder sound and of high frequency sounds the static hissing can hardly be detected? The baseline noise is quite higher in the 7 compared to other previous models too.

Haha join the club. Seriously this is quite funny. I know that there is usually a faint noise but if you saw the video I uploaded, Its actually very annoying. Compared to a 6s which makes no background noises at all. Just hope they give us replacement new ones

Earlier, I launched the 3dmarks apps and indeed, there was a very faint hissing sound emitted from the back of my iphone 7; specifically at the logo area.

I couldn't hear it on my 1st try in the room but when I tried it again inside the car with engine off and closed door, it was audible; though very faint.

I'm not planning to raise this issue with Apple since the sound is barely audible even inside a off car and till now, it didn't affect my daily usage.

You also can hear from video recording ah? I think that's where the line is drawn for me. It interferes with one of the features. Anyway I might return this 7 to Apple and maybe fork in another $100+ for 6S. No point exchanging a set with the same or worst problem.

Try record a 4K video in your car and then listen to the playback. Mine can hear the static-y noise.
