Phone with hissing sound is already a defect itself.

It is but every release be it the first batch, 2nd or 3rd, Samsung or whoever, there will always be niggling issue. No phone is flawless.

But if it is a hardware defect, any decent company would replace/repair it. If it is a software problem then I'm sure they come out with an update for it.

Yes for sure. Apple did replace the phone due to hissing. They did not outright reject anyone's request. If the software can fix the hardware issue, they will definitely come up with an update in the near future.

Now you guys are making this hissgate a big issue like the explosion of Note 7. Both issues are totally on a different scale. Yes, you paid a premium for a phone but you cannot expect it to be flawless. Even a car is not flawless. If you have a problem, just get it replace. Apple will gladly do so if it is still under warranty.

The replacement phone can have the same issue too or even other niggling issue cos it will never be perfect. It's either you learn to live with the flaws since it is not hindering the usage of the phone, or get it replace and pray for a flawless phone.

just got my 7 plus,
couldn't restore from backup from my 6s plus

cos my 6s plus was on 10.1 beta

so damn lehcheh now need to setup as new iphone, download beta profile, install 10.1 then restore backup..

just a heads up for beta users.

It's just a phone. If cant live with it and bought from online apple store, you have option to return and get refund? No idea if got charged/deducted with any fee..haven't tried before.

What's this got to do with the note 7? I was talking about that should address it if it is a hardware defect. If it's not a defect, they should also let us know rather than leave us hanging. Now I don't even know if should change or not.

Yea ! Really like the taptic feedback of the 7...anyway using both 6S and 7 now. Was even contemplating of going both 7... think i shall keep as 6S and 7.

anyone know how to check warranty eligiblity? have a 6s plus but idk whether my warranty still up anot, went apple site but the captcha image cannot load end up they locked me out because too many tries..
