Ya I encounter this before when I go japan on my ip7 but my mum on 6+ no issue and previous I on ip6 no issue too

Did u try network lock ?
I can only suspect it's iphone switch to intel and not Qualcomm which got issue with network tx Rx strength


I suspect the next iphone 8 won't use Qualcomm as apple going intel fully

Lan lan just use a mifi when u go overseas and use Whatsppls for calls lor

But local use I have no issue with network suspect it's network firmware

Unless u take up oversees mifi or oversees data sim


And if must sg sim for voice and Sms call u need to manual set to the telco which helps little but I try this method before it will still goes out of service but will recover in a while

I suspect why our local telco no issue is we rvon their network so the telco carrier firmware is updated to align with it iphone 7 intel weakness so if only we can update the overseas telco u roam to telco firmware carrier it might help this is my own theory

For me I manual force to lock onto SoftBank when I go japan it's help but it's not 100% but luck I got a overseas mifi for my data needs


Hope the next gen of intel cellular chip for iphone 8 will improve

Bro thank for taking the time to reply me. I am quite surprise non mention this issue or spot this issue. As I travel alot and quite paranoid when this happens. Most of my friend still using iPhone 6 hence they don't have such issues. Sigh.. really love the iPhone7* red but I am in such dilemma

It's all along like this since the very beginning? There is no card that don't have the conversion charges for App Store/iTunes/subscription right?

Well get a local overseas Sim or a mifi with s overseas data Sim will do the trick since most of us if go overseas use data mainly as normal voice a s Sms call oversees is expensive
Then just manual set the telco not auto this is the Only remendy

I bet this will still be issue unless the next iphone using intel chip improved

Since u goo overseas often help me do a test too

When u data roam or auto roam with our local telco Sim
Try check if got a carrier update
If got t u to update it see if it's help to adjust the phone to the telco network


As I remember when I insert a japan a data Sim it auto prompt me to update my iphone carrier version too

I try to manual set and the problem persist. I actually called my telcom (singtel) while I was oversea and told them to do a network reset. The problem still persist.

I did not on my auto roaming to try but I can forseen the same issue as well. You can see the signal bar always hover between 2-3 bar. Then slowly became 1 then no service. Try to search online for resolution but can't find.

Oh btw I do get carrier update even on my sg Sim but the problem still same.

Hope any other bro got any solution ?

anyone service before the fingerprint scanner? how long will it take?

Apple don't service Touch ID.. you can try to remove the fingerprints and add again. Some people add the same finger multiple times to improve accuracy.

If your Touch ID really has an issue, Apple will change the whole phone for you as it is tied to the motherboard and not replaceable

Best solution is to buy the itunes card at the stores. Then you won't have this problem about conversion rates. This is what i did.
