Anyone can be a "good" investor when their counters are doing well. To be a true investor however, you need to believe in your picks and act on them even when the market goes against you. Especially when the market goes against you (see GLP and ARA charts for very good examples).

It's not easy, and only experience will tell you when to add more and when to cut loss and move on

I think ST is still the choice pick for long term holding. If not for the depreciation of the AUD, their earnings would actually be improving.

Don't need to sell and then board again.
If price fall, just buy to average down. Once bounce back then dump it out.

That way you don't lose $$.
