***My Durian Story on Investing - Part Two***
A few years back durians were selling at $12, people were saying how sweet and fragrant it was~
Durian experts were upbeat and were shouting loud that prices of durian was due to set a new high of $15 soon!
All the sudden prices of durians came crashing down to $8!!!
Instead of celebrating that got cheap durian to jiak, everyone became fearful of durians... they even say that jiak liao will lao sai...
Of the whole village only this old Ah Ma don't believe jiak liao will lao sai,
instead...using her 80 years of wisdom... she opened up her biscuit tin, took out her stack of banana notes and swept up all durians at $8
Today as the durians gets closer to $10... Ah Ma's teeth is getting lesser and lesser due to her laughter
Ah Ma is a happy woman...
Now durians selling at $9.50 liao... will you jiak or will you avoid durians?

Not sure if the durian got special branding called Oh See Bee See

Durian experts were upbeat and were shouting loud that prices of durian was due to set a new high of $15 soon!!
However instead of going higher, all the sudden prices of durians came crashing down to $8!!!

Many people were looking to sell their durians as they fear of it turning smelly... but there was no buyer..
Of the whole village only this one old Ah Ma name Sally don't believe jiak liao will lao sai,
instead...using her 80 years of wisdom... Sally opened up her rusty biscuit tin, took out her stack of banana notes and swept up all durians at $8
everyone in the village was so happy to sell to Sally, they were so glad to get rid of their smelly durians..
Today as the durians gets closer to $10... Ah Ma's teeth is getting lesser and lesser due to her laughter

Portfolio Update
Fully Divested my position in Suntec Reit - sold 12,000 shares to lock in a 5% net gain for holding 4 months
added 5,000 more shares of FCT - Yield 5.9% Price to book 1.02

Currently holding 20,000 CMT and 15,000 FCT - Pretty much done shopping on retail reits
will look out next for commercial reits MCT and CCT

happy reit shopping ^_^

additional comments on why I divested suntec reit... I felt that their results for 2016 was poor, even thou DPU was maintain at 10 cents level 10% came from capital distribution while 90% was from existing assets
secondly I also had worries of their MBF assets which make up around 10-15% of portfolio (rough guess)... valuations seems very high at under 4% cap rates... also income support was ended thus the sharp drop in net property income of close to 10%... suntec holds a 1/3 stake along with keppel reit that holds the other 1/3.. I looked at keppel reit's numbers and it was horrible...
given that I was sitting on a decent gain on suntec reit with dividends already collected, I decided to be safe and lock in the profits
Half the proceeds was used to purchase FCT, while the other half will sit in my warchest as I look to make another shot... probably aiming at MCT
I previously sold 5,000 FCT at 2.08 so I am pretty happy to buy it back at 1.98
effectively its a 4.5% gain from "shorting" my own stock FCT

lastly quick update on my overall portfolio
4 reits - CMT FCT CCT MCT (2 blue 2 mid cap)
3 banks
3 telcos
1 transport

$Suntec Reit(T82U) $Frasers Cpt Tr(J69U) $Mapletree Com Tr(N2IU) $CapitaCom Trust(C61U)
