:D:Dthe prob is when she was buying keppel it was a solid blue chips.

Commodities are cyclical. A blue chip commodity counter is no different. Plenty of high growth stocks not related to commodities. No reason to touch commodity counters for me.

People say gold is the safest. Look what's happening to CNMC now :o

Ya.....that's why I divested M1 and Starhub last year and re-directed my funds into Ascendas, FLINT and MCT

Turned out to be my 2nd best investment decision of 2016!!! :s13::s12:

so what was your 1st best investment decision?

Hi guys, I am currently holding 5 REITs and 2 telcos. Gonna receive my bonus next month, should I look to put in another Reit counter? Will I be overexposed? Or should I go for mid-Cap company ?_?

No right and wrong here. Need to find your own investing style/ratio.

If you want to build recurring income and don't want to spend time monitoring the market, more REITs is good :o

yup i feel that CDG boat at port

down 20% from 3.00 peak to now around 2.40 level

I do not think earnings will be down 20% for FY2016

maybe earnings at worst case down 5% for 2016 due to taxi biz pressures

generally cyclical industries are like

commodities
shipping
oil and gas related
property development

these are all for trading only... if u buy and hold for 5 years, hard to make money

if banks pull back to 1 times book value, do have the courage to pick some up ^_^

meanwhile among blue chip space, can take a look at thai bev and CDG... both down 20% from peak

the PE ratio is high for both, but they are growth stocks... one in consumer beverage another in transport...

3 tiger generals CMT CCT MCT and 2 warriors MLT and Starhill

nice! looks pretty balanced

2 retail
1 office
1 logistics
1 mixed

ok liao

maybe u take the time to study

the 3 blue chip banks
transport - CDG
consumer - thaibev

if any of these 5 got pull backs, can consider boarding
from my scanning the fundamentals are good, but u ownself have to study and learn the business in depth

cheers

thaibev is my new pick

if goes down to 80 cents I may wanna board

I think its a decent stock for long term if u want exposure into a consumer stock which SGX seriously lacks compared to US market
