Used to own m1 too but the chairman keep selling no gimme confidence. No like.

Might topup starhub.

Starhub and m1 will share the same fate

Both boat chained together, sail together or sink together

I think she has done a decent job in m1
Not easy being the smallest telco out of the 3
M1 always kanna bully one
Yet M1 has proven to manage cost the best and able to grow its fibre business to become a cash cow
Mobile market share however is disappointing as it remains stagnant

Its easier to be ceo of singtel than ceo of m1
Its like poker, its easier to play when u have a huge stacks of chips
But when your chips are low, u have to play tight and decisive

Think m1 and Singtel playing in different pools now so cannot compare which one has easier job.

decent is not enuf. she has ample time to strategize how to counter the effects of 4th telco... yet more than a year passed, we still dun see any innovation (especially those that can generate revenue growth). worse still, the margin weakens, revenue crashed.

have we all not anticipated this? stayed.invested cos i believe, m1 managment could have some strategizes to counter the price war. but, nth

My current market view is that the fears on rising rates is overblown
Reits and telcos were sold down sharply and this presents an opportunity to pick up quality companies at cheap prices
My picks are
Reits cct suntec cmt fct - proven track record and high quality assets for long term
Telcos m1 sh st - yields 4-7% are still good! 4th telco make take market share but if u look at countries with 4 telcos, they are all likely to be profitable but just less profitable than before, market is so fearful that they think m1 and sh going bankrupt

I treat telcos and reits like cows, just keep milking them

If want growth, go for banks

Recent bought when it was yielding 5% dividends
Too good not to buy

3 telcos 3 banks 4 reits
Diversified enough for me

Weak and matured industry ma
If u dont like then maybe just avoid telcos and focus on reits?

For me my thinking is one decade on ppl will still use internet and hp, the cow still has milk but maybe less
