DC REITs is the only major player for DC in singapore right? Are there anymore that is around? Better than Sunevision and Grand Ming in HK?

Nope. Not yet. But when we talk about DC business, I feel that we need to consider the regional major players as well.
The major players in Asia would be China Mobile, China Unicom, NTT, KDDI...
THE trend of data centre Reits (real estate investment trusts) hasn't really kicked off in Asia, but it would be "inevitable" in the long term.....
If the United States serves as a guidance, many telecommunication companies may in time divest their data centres to third parties such as private investors, operators or Reits...
The one factor standing in the way of more data centre Reits listing in Asia is market fragmentation. Many different companies in the region own data centres, but few enjoy scale.
As for Singtel, it owns eight data centres in Singapore, with two more in Australia and two in Hong Kong. But it has "no plans" to spin off these assets into a REIT.....MIT got 2 data centres, Ascendas got 3.....even the UOB has data centres![]()
