Yes, it's always very tempting to take profit in a bull market. I try to stay away from checking the prices too often, just follow the game plan of knowing what is the value to determine when to sell.

fifo can be very profitable, if you get the timing right. But often, you will be sharing a chunk of that profit with your broker.

It is times like these when I think DW's fifo method is tempting......he bought during the dips and I saw he took profits yesterday and today on his SGXcafe account :s22:

I am still learning patience so that I can let my profits run, that's how I got my first bagger (SS).
Still bad at cutting loss though :( :(
Should have cut loss on some stocks when it went more than 10%....

Should have cut loss on some stocks when it went more than 10%....

haha, your cut loss target same as me sia. I cut many at 10%. :s13:

Ya......choosing between cut loss or average down is a thin line to walk :(

I usually cut if there is weakening of fundamentals over 2 quarters and if the dividends no longer cover the paper loss

if short term trading, 10% cut
if investing.... dunno lei, so far havent saw a situation where i need divest my blue cheats
