Ya.....I guess it is monopolistic business :o

With the 4th Telco coming online soon, Netlink might have more business?

I keep getting pm on why i always see book value for reits
And pb price to book ratio

Basically book value is how much the assets are worth, as valued by a third party auditor/valuer usually this value can be fair to over priced

Therefore as an investor u want to buy the assets at book value or cheaper...

Example the auditors value the reit at $1 book value... its true value is subjective and may range from 0.90 to 1.10
If u can buy the reit at 0.70 to 1.00, you will probably be on the safe side

However the market has a lot of hype on this asset and prices it at 1.3 pb for $1.30.... it becomes a lot more risky when paying so much higher than what professionals valuers thinks its worth

To sum up, to have margin of safety... always try to buy reits at book value or less... the same thinking can be applied to buying bonds too
