my old sgxcafe portfolio already delete

this is new one... only put my portfolio in from this December onwards, its just to show my portfolio weight age on the 12 stocks i pick and their dividend yields

my historical XIRR is around 12% over 9 years

realized gains around 70k out of 300k portfolio (meaning 230k came from savings and dividends)

12% XIRR?!

Wealth gets doubled every 6 years?!

i am like u. i bought big on telcos recently. i feel that it is oversold and the presence of the 4th telco is overdone.

its not even given a firm plan on how they going to expand. big promises but without a clear profit strategy. they just trying to milk people's frustration on the telcos recently and give them what they want. (data, flexible pricing).

virgin mobile anyone?

ya 4th telco doesnt not have a clear plan and the odds of a new startup going into a competitive/mature market is dangerously high to fail

the first 5 years will be key for the 4th telco

if they are successful they can capture 10% market share in the 5 years
if unsuccessful maybe 1-2 years go bankrupt and out liao... like how virgin mobile pumped 100mil a decade ago and failed after 1 year

Thanks ML :s12:

I think the 4th telco worries is already mostly factored in liao

https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=B2F.SI#symbol=B2F.SI;range=2y

M1 fell from 3.99 high to $2 level.. down 50%

https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=CC3.SI#symbol=CC3.SI;range=2y

SSH fell from 4.4x high to now $3 level down 35%

if follow most analyst reports that dig down into the fundamentals

at worst case/most bearish case, the forecast is around 20% drop in earnings over the next 5 years due to 4th telco

stock price fell way more than fundamentals justified, that's why I bought big on telcos

30k on M1, 30k on SH, 20k on ST

80k BIG BET on telcos, around 25% of my portfolio

the risk of industrial reit and tenant defaulting

Soilbuild REIT has announced that the Lease Agreement
between Soilbuild REIT and Technics Offshore Engineering Pte Ltd
has been terminated with effect from 9 Dec 2016. The Manager of
the REIT is currently searching for new tenants to lease the
property located at 72 Loyang Way. As of the date of
announcement, ~S$3.9m of the bank guarantee of S$11.8m
remains unutilised, which is equivalent to approximately five
months’ rent and property operating expenses. If the Manager is
unable to find a new tenant willing and able to pay a similar rent
prior to the full utilisation of the security deposit, there would
accordingly be an impact on Soilbuild REIT’s DPU.

even if big 4 auditors doesnt mean the book is 100% zhun

when investing must use common sense to guide you

blue chip with real assets like CMT, u ownself can go down see, feel, touch the assets... you know 100% is real

previous blue chip like noble was like a black box.. u dunno the assets real or not and how to value it

if they put a farm in Africa worth 100 mil, auditor how to check? you how to confirm if its really worth that much?

Yea... this! Real life example: PwC was Celestial Nutrifoods auditor. So what? Didn't stop the coy from run road with investors's $$$. Everything was fine and dandy until collapse. Soy farm and factory in China... how many % real or fake only those insider knows.
