Look at it this way.

How does sharing my cost price/average price affect my profit/loss? No one can have the intent to undercut if they don't know my cost/average price.

No point in sharing cost/average price ma.

I think maybe best not to give exact entry price ba

I also notice that maybe some investors got a habit of only buying the same stocks as me but only at a discount to my cost

I had a bit of regrets sharing my iocbc portfolio screen shot with all my average cost, I am likely not to post it again

no hard feeling to anyone, I just hope it would be fair both ways

Think of it as support, not undercut

very hard ba... previously got people openly posted that he bought cheaper than me as margin of safety... after that I decided not to share anymore of my average price already

I will only show my cdp statement with current market prices to prove that I holding the same stocks as what I said

guys pls chill off and be rational in thinking... only a small tiny fraction of ppl who buy/sell in SGX actually come into SSI and read stuffs... its naive to think that SSI can actuall move the market.

forum is all about sharing and chatting. we ought to respect your rights if you wish not to share your avg price, but then again sharing your avg price won't really affect the market. even if you don't share your price, fearing ppl here will undercut you, what makes you think that the price won't dip further and other ppl who don't even know the existence of SSI will not buy at a lower price than u?

I think to be fair, those who want to share their average prices can go ahead and share

those not comfortable in sharing average price... should be fine ba

all up to individual, just do what you feel comfortable and keep the environment positive

same as sgxcafe, some people open minded enough to share whole portfolio with past transaction history, some people prefer not to show anything

end of the day just be comfortable with what you sharing ba

around 4.8% yield with some growth

PE ratio at 15 times also seems very fair for this blue chip with highest market cap

Undercutting is nothing except it make one feel better that someone lose a little more than yourself...sad theory

Undercutting is just a simplistic term that SSI came up with.....

The more atas and intellectual term would be 'tailcoat investing' which means following a popular/successful big investor.....Example, if you see Warren Buffett used his elephant gun to hoot a particular stock. If you can follow him and undercut by 5%, you have a larger margin of safety than him because you would be confident that WB oredi done all the research and due diligence.
