DO they need to pay levy?
As a 2nd timer, lower chances than all the applicants?
Low chance indeed. My queue number is always out of the available units.
Have to pay levy if current house is bto flat.

hi, if i have a scheduled first appointment for resale 3 months later, can i still apply for this sobf? when is the typical release of results?
If those flat you selected, key already available, how long is the longest you can drag bef taking the key?
my parents bought house from HDB directly for twice already, not eligible for SBF right?
Thanksif you dont mind staying near the river and the canal, it is pretty good IMO based on its location

Of course la. Beside mrt lehso expensive.
Hi all, first time applying for SBF and I have a question. I'm currently in the midst of a job switch, but have been working from Dec 2016, my last day was 7th May. My partner just finished studies and is currently looking for a job. Would HDB allow me to book a flat if let's say I were to get a queue number?
I am rather conflicted whether to go for SBF or BTO this time cos I saw a few units at the place I am staying in are abailable and it's a shorter wait than BTO..
But at the same time I am a tad fearful cos SBF only a few units while BTO has more units so in theory higher and better chances supposedly..
Decisions..decisions..

it depends on whether you can wait or cannot wait. and also what kind of scheme you can get from hdb. as well as if you can accept the leftover units (usually low lvl floor).
for example, if your parents live near the area you are applying, you can apply the MCPS and get a first chance in the 30% set aside and then an addition chance.
this will boost up your chance of getting a flat in either bto or sobf
its not the $10 that matters... its the chances. if the units in sbf you wanted no more, you are giving up one chance... second timer v v hard to get one
