Hi all, I'm a little confused. Read here that we can appeal to HDB for screeding but the officer at branch office told us otherwise. No way to appeal too

You got 680 screed right? That’s very cheap go with them for screed, how many mm are they screeding for u?, coz HDB waiting time is very long.

The project must be before 2014.

Hi All, i would like to find out for those who have selected their flats (without any grant), how long after the selection will you be able to collect the keys?

Also, for those who have selected units that comes with flooring, will HDB be able to remove them and provide screeding for free or the occupants will have to pay for that?

for your first question, it really depends. i selected my units later than my friend but i received my keys first. both of us did not apply for grants.

if your unit already comes with flooring, why do you want to remove it? do you intend to change it to vinyl flooring or change tiles?

Yeaa we are looking to change to vinyl most likely, the default flooring is also more susceptible to stains eg. Also the flooring don’t really go well with the design of the house we’re looking to do.

you can directly overlay the vinyl on existing tiles. your supplier can advice you on that

oh i checked , it in 2012.
so means qualify for cement screed?
if do homogenous then no need

any idea what was the HDB price for flooring then during the BTO selection?

Yes qualify. Homogenous tiling requires your tiler to advise, but according to HDB guideline, tiles needs to be installed on rough surface concrete provided by HDB, however if the house comes without tiles it’s 60mm lower, the guideline by HDB is 50mm height.
Tiles is about 10mm HDB screed up to 40mm, without screeding + tiles = 40mm shorter so ironically how to install tiles on floor provided by HDB that’s 60mm shorter without screeding? The guideline is ridiculous. And HDB should have provided all unit up to 40mm by default for those that comes without flooring, and IMO smooth flooring should be provided by default if there’s no flooring instead of making homeowners suffer such dilemma in waiting for screeder 4 to 8 weeks.
