Don't need call 1688.

Just go 313 straight.

Bring the box, remote and power adapter there.

HDMI and LAN cable can keep.

Once you reach there got form to fill up. Write down the cause and what the problem is.

THey will assess it and swop the box FOC accordingly.

Believe me, once you switch to the new cisco box, you will completely forget about the motorola box.

The CISCo box takes about 1/2 the time to load compared to Motorola.:s12:

then you shall call 1688 and tell them bah, theres a good chance they will want you to bring down the remote, set top box and power adapter to a designated place, so that they can do a 1-1 swap for you. if not maybe they will arrange a tech down as well..

Singtel advised me to go down to a +Serv centre and exchange my set top box, then bring home and plug it to my ONR.

Guess I will have to find a time to go down to a +Serv and get a 1-to-1 exchange. :o

Which Singtel router are you using?

I'm using the Singtel AC Plus router currently, and the wireless connection on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz is pretty stable.

I googled around and realize there's info about the models for mio TV offered by Singtel in this thread, posted by chuppachop..
Motorola - 1st generation boxes, STB does not feel hot after long hrs but bulky
VIP 1200AP
VIP 1208AP - DVR 80GB

Tatung - TWN brand, sleek n smaller boxes. For DVR model, feels slightly warm
STB 2300
STB 3002 - DVR 500GB

Cisco - Small sizes with big clock on STB front but feels oven hot after some hours
ISB-2200
ISB-2230 - DVR 500GB

Believe the currently issued boxes are of Tatung and Cisco.

Wonder if Singtel still issue the Tatung models now, or purely only Cisco models for now.. :o

For DVR boxes, it's still the Tatung STB 3002 model, have seen them issuing out fr Serv+ at Orchard Central. Not sure about non DVR boxes though.

Wah, then I hope Singtel offer the Tatung non DVR box for me when I go replace it soon :s13:

Yeah sure, I can update here of the box I receive when I go replace it. I googled around and saw this photo posted by Adi Dassler, looks like the Tatung non DVR box for mio TV..

Yup, the black one is the Tatung one, smaller in size compared to the DVR one .... but take note, no clock display.

I'm fine without the clock display, been living fine without the clock display on the Motorola box for years. :s13:

How to have 2nd singtel TV box connected?

I have a singtel TV box connected directly from ont to the router designated port for singtel TV then connected directly to a patch panel data port.

If I wish to subscribe to one or two more singtel TV boxes, how to I connect them to my home network.

I have only one data port in each room, can I use a switch in the room data port so that I can have both internet access and singtel TV.

Sorry misread your post just now.

If your first set top box already at router level, second set top box will be connected to router without any special configuration.

Are u using default router?

You'll need to check with Singtel.

There are a couple of connections available but depends on how Singtel is providing you the service of additional set top box.

Since your first set is already at ont, your second set may not be at ont but over at router level.

Check with them first before we can advise you..

Thank you. So I have to check with the tech department as I went down to singtel shop which they cannot provide with an answer to it.

Any SingTel TV Box has to go through their supplied router.

If you are using a 3P router, need to configure VLAN settings yourself.
