Recently found out that Singtel has changed their TV packs (as per their website). More expensive after I calculated.

Currently I am still on the older Jingxuan Trio pack.

Yup, cost a lot more than Starhub after the revamp.

I have cancelled my Singtel TV services in the end of Oct 2024 (initially sign-up in Feb 2012 as part of Fibre Internet bundle, then de-bundle in Sept 2018). So I have not checked latest promotion now.

However, based on my past experiences, you can usually negotiate with Singtel (talk to the Singtel Shop TV counter) to get better recontract deals than the website pricing.

Previouslly I was getting 50% OFF with my Singtel Family Favorite Pack (about S$11.95) and free basic Singtel TV box rental for many years.

Anyone knows if their movie channels on singteltv aka HBO, AXS, etc got English subtitles or not?

Was watching the free preview channels provided by Singteltv via Cast but no option to change to Eng subtitles. Very disappointing. And also the audio seems like not consistent when watching hbo?, sometimes loud sometimes soft?

Is this a common issue?

I heard from my friend that he had terminated the Singteltv service but the CSO ask him to keep the Singtel box no need to return and will not be charged rental for it.

Is this common?

by right, if someone were to terminate his/her Singtel TV, they should returned the Set-Top Box package (Device, Remote Control, Power Adaptor)

SingTel keeps posting this promotion in their Facebook page.

May be useful for some users. Take note Singtel uses ONR for all new Fibre Internet plans, not recommended for power users.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for choosing us. We hope you’re enjoying all the latest entertainment on Singtel TV and staying up to date with your favourite shows.
To continue delivering the quality experience you expect, we’ll be adjusting the rental rate for your current Singtel TV box from $6.02 to $6.98 (inclusive of GST) starting 1 September 2025. This change is due to inflation and rising operating costs required to maintain the existing equipment.
But here’s the good news: you can keep your rental rate at $6.02/month by switching to our newest Singtel TV box. It’s powered by the latest technology, making it more efficient for us to support — and more enjoyable for you to use. With a sleek design and seamless access to both live TV and popular streaming apps, it’s a smart upgrade for your home entertainment setup.
To learn more or make the switch, visit singtel.com/stb-tv.
If you prefer to continue with your current TV box, no action is needed. The new rate will be reflected automatically in your bill from September.
We truly appreciate your continued support and look forward to bringing you even more of the shows you love. If you have any questions, feel free to chat with us at singtel.com/help.
