Just wondering, are home plugs still a viable option for Singtel TV? I remember I was able to use them a few years back but not sure if things have changed. Would prefer a solution that I can just drop in to my existing setup without too many changes since I'm using my own router etc.

Only SingTel provided WiFi Mesh and Wireless Bridge are supported if you can not use wired Ethernet connection. So you are on your own if you want to use power line adapter.

Homeplugs are not advised for Singtel TV as it can often result in dropped data packets that cause freeze frames and a poor viewing experience.

That's puzzling. I am switching from both Starhub cable broadband and cable tv to Singtel fibre broadband and Singtel tv. Would you mind sharing who in Singtel you spoke to?

Hi Singtel Admin, I would like to enquire about the wireless bridge solution for Singtel Mio TV. I am existing subscriber with 2 set top box. and will be relocating to my new place next month but there is no network point in my master bedroom for a cabled connection to the 2nd set top box, hence I need a wireless solution. I called up Singtel Mio TV technical support but was told wireless solution is not recommended due to inconsistent performance over wifi connection, also the solution is only possible if my ISP is Singtel. I read your post in the forum and it seems to suggest that wireless bridge works. Can you verify? Also, what are the charges involved for such a solution in a relocation situation like mine? Possible to send me a PM on my questions? Thanks.

Hello, i am currently using this solution. i am on MR ISP, then singtel is installed on my second fibre port. the wireless bridge is from technicolor, it’s linked to my mother’s room, via another wireless bridge. it looks like a normal digital antenna. so far the connection is good and it is not slow and jerky.

Hi all, recently I just bought Chromecast, but realized whenever I try to cast Singtel TV Go app on chromecast, the app will crash when connecting halfway. Anyone else facing this issue? Or is there something i’m Doing wrong.

No issuss with my Huawei P20 and iPhone 6S, using the very old Chromecast 1st generation dongle (2.4GHz Wifi only) but the dongle is near to the router.

You may have a wireless related issue.

Hmm. Thanks for giving some tips. But I guess it maybe the cause of my iPhone X, probably it’s not supported. Went to check on the list of device supported for Singtel Tv Go, it last update was on 2015. Lol

Hmm. That’s weird, if iPhone X is supported. Pretty sure the issue doesn’t lie with chromecast. What baffles me is that the Singtel app crashes when it’s about to cast on to chromecast.

I key in my nirc but there does not seem to be any button combination I can press to proceed to the next step to key in my miotv go number.

I even used an air mouse to type.
