Anyone knows where to get the power adapter for the Motorola set top box?
Anyone knows where to get the power adapter for the Motorola set top box?
Not sure if damaged, the box can only be powered on with the power connector being inserted at a certain angle. Trying to see if I can get another power supply adapter first before going over to +serv. If damaged -- go to SERV+ to exchange

I lost the power supply of the Singtel ONT (Ericson brand, issued in Feb 2012) and I was using my own power adapter. When I exchanged it for a new ZTE ONT in 2018, due to contact issues, I had to pay S$21.40 for the adapter. Actually I could bought that cheaper from Carousell.

Based on the terms and conditions, the adapter for the Singtel TV box will be charged at S$21.4 as well.

Looks like it's a common issue. I got the box since 2010 so I guess age has catch up and problems start to surface, though the box is still working fine.Same as my previous Mio TV STB. You can change the whole thing. You need to return the old TV box including the power adapter and remote.
After I got the recontract in Sept 2018, I exchanged the ONT and the Motorola set top box, both were issued in Feb 2012 and had the same power contact issues you are facing.
Wow you still on the first gen Motorola.Anyone knows where to get the power adapter for the Motorola set top box?
Has been working fine for the past 10yrs so didn't thought of changing it, and was informed by the Singtel tech support that the Motorola box is better than the newer boxes in terms of durability.Wow you still on the first gen Motorola.
I already changed to CISCO, Tatung and now the 4K Arris model.

The newer ones feel snappier than the Motorola one.Has been working fine for the past 10yrs so didn't thought of changing it, and was informed by the Singtel tech support that the Motorola box is better than the newer boxes in terms of durability.![]()
Yes, the newer ones are indeed snappier when I tried the newer boxes at my relatives house using the Cisco box. Quite tempting to make me switch away the Motorola box for the snappiness. The newer ones feel snappier than the Motorola one.
Better CPU for sure and the 4K Arris now runs on Unix rather than Windows CE on the Motorola.
Can't remember whether the CISCO and Tatung ones are running on UNIX or Windows CE.
Hmm, never had any durability issues on any of my boxes before, so can't comment on that.
Likely CISCO i guess. Anyway i find the CISCO one better than Tatung because of the large digital clock.Yes, the newer ones are indeed snappier when I tried the newer boxes at my relatives house using the Cisco box. Quite tempting to make me switch away the Motorola box for the snappiness.
Not sure what's the current HD STB box they are issuing, heard Tatung is no longer available.

wow i wonder if the picture quality is any better than my tatung with windows ce. also does the unix ui look any different from the mediaroom windows ce??The newer ones feel snappier than the Motorola one.

just checking if anyone managed to recontract your Singtel TV for 12 months with other perks eg STB waiver etc ?
Just did the recontract in the end of October, 12 months contract, 50% OFF family favourite pack, free basic box rental. This has been the same offer for me since I changed to this back in 2018.
You need to go down to SingTel Shop TV counter to get the good offer. And your offer may be different from mine.
think i’ll head down to the shop see if i can get the same offer of STB 1 - FOC, STB 2 50% off … TV GO foc for 12 months
Yes go to the Singtel Shop will have better offer. And you need to go to the TV counter, not to listen to the front door staff who will have clues about Singtel TV offers. My offer does not include Singtel TV Go though.
