Anyone can help me with mio tv system error code 6? Just got it only TV. I'm trying to put a second router in the house, first router using singtel router and 2nd using tp link router. Internet is working fine for both routers but when I plug the lan cable from the tp link router to the mio tv box, it gives me error. Anyone had this before?

Could be the settings of the tp link router. Is the port configured for tv?

standard things to check:

cables connected from residential gateway and STB?
power off all devices. turn on TV > modem > STB.

if all else fails, call singtel. =P

If so, perhaps you wanna try a reset again? Hopefully it's not due to the rare instance of firmware corruption..

Ok update

#1 Restarted STB problem still persists
#2 Restarted router connected to STB afters : seems to be smooth channel changing but will give it 1-2 days of use to confirm issue solved

I am on fibre ..... but my parents place is ADSL, was there for dinner last nite (Mon) and was watching it, all OK.

Yours is Motorola? Mine is Tatung (look at label sticker underneath). After software upgrade, no lag issue. Just need to get used to new interface. Been watching Netflix on set top box.

Can you try with the Singtel issued router?

yep used with default Singtel issued router - am @ work now but before leaving home all seemed ok hope continue to be so when i get back

Yes data charges will apply ofc. That's why its recommended for use over wifi. If you are streaming an EPL game for example. Can exceed over 1GB of data
