Ch509 - mobTV is also ceasing soon - 7 Jan 2014.

One of my most watched channels is gone. There is nothing much to watch leow.

Perhaps a result MediaCorps' strategy for the upcoming Digital TV broadcast over Internet launch? Can't fault them if they want to monetize what has been offered on mioTV Select?

Except for the current Ch 8 9pm series, the rest (very little) that are available on Ch 509 are re-runs of their old TV series.

Try Ch 513 and Ch 571. Just these 2 channels alone, and you are really missing out a lot already.

If you really want MediCorps re-runs, then xin msn offer more:

for those who is paying those bpl @ 26 , 34.90 plans...

Stinktel will be forcing you to migrate to new plan once your contract is over by end of this year...
force u go $64.90

schemes will be releasing by end of the year...

don't believe i can't do anything but sause 'internal'

stupid stinktel like those pasar malam seller. want u to buy, sell until heaven have earth dun have. buy liao then this cannot that cannot.

when the cold seller come n sell the fibre w free open net installation, i decided to change the owner to me instead of my father. as my father was the principal line owner he was eligible for the hp upgrade. therefore i ask the seller if i change to myself, will my father still be able to enjoy the upgrading of hp. he told me can. alto i suspect cannot. after that, when the cust service called to confirm appt, i also ask her again the same qn, she also say can.

in the end, went down to hello shop, got told to my face by a not v gd attitude girl that cannot.

as mio always crush, i was hesitant to recontract the mio tv. the seller once again told me that when i recontract, i will be given a new box, a newer version, will not lag or crush. when the person come to install, came w only the modem and open net terminal.

the tech who came for the installation also came at the wrong time without calling first. he came at 10am instead or 5-6pm. i am sure of the timing as i had called twice to confirm.

i am really v unhappy w singtel abt this exprience.

The hp upgrade is only for the "key-line" which have to be under the fibre subscriber's name. This has always been the case. Their staff cannot do hp upgrade otherwise.

My understanding is earliest 12 months after the fiber installation. Correct me if I am wrong. This part I am not very sure.

In your case, the hp plan has to be under your name.

You can transfer the fibre to your father or transfer his hp plan to you. There will be an account transfer fee but you can make a case. Try to get this waive reason that the salesman promised you like what you post here.

Submit the case at this link so that you get a case number:

Although you will very quickly receive an automated acknowledgement that you will be answered in 2 or 3 days, they usually answer much earlier.

You can also call 1688 and make a 2-prong complaint.

As for the set-top box, they are usually the same whether for ADSL or Fibre. I already have an ADSL mioTv and when they came to install the fibre, they brought the same model but I told them, my fibre mioTV promo get me a HD DVR free for 1 year. They brought the correct one the next working day.

Installation appt for me have been accurate for the ADSL mioTV last year and the fibre and mioTV recently. Dates and time given were followed. They sent an SMS reminder 2 days in advance for my ADSL mioTV last year and a call 3 days in advance recently for the fibre and mioTV.

Both times, the installers came within the 2 hours time-frame given.

you got it the other way. but similar lah. my dad to me not me to my dad. and his line is already more than 12 months. ya i planning to do that, 2 prong complain.

I am on fibre mioTV for coming 3 weeks and didn't have a single reboot of the set-top box, if this is what you mean.

Previously, on ADSL mioTV, there was a time I had problem with the phone line from outside between riser and ST exchange. The senior tech swapped the line and problem solved. But then it is not mioTV set-top box reboot but a loss of ADSL service, meaning disruption to both Internet and mioTV.

I don't understand how a mioTV set-top box can reboot. I did get a message once or twice that a upgrade was done and to reboot the set-top box. But it was a message to do the reboot, not it auto reboot itself.

i watch jiale demand, the theme song havent sing finish, miotv hang already. just now tech support was saying maybe modem and channel not compatible

tell him don't smoke you. how can a channel on IPTV not be supported by existing equipment? singtel won't be so stupid to put something that is incompatible.

maybe its time u change the STB or modem liao..

for me i face this issue with pace router with the grey box...

suddenly no signal. red color on 'service'

due to my existing issues with stinktel...i was given free 5 mths recording setup box and aztech router as swap
