Car SOS

Came back after a long break.

Well, surprised ! It's a re-run !!!

Almost everything is re-run over and over and over and over and over...

Till viewership terminate and dare not to subscribe.

Please Singtel, stop your nonsense!

Yes, some channels the programs keep on re-run.

But isn't it the same for channels on Starhub Cable TV...

Don't bother to find. If your device is not supported, there will be problem anyway.

Here is my story so you will be aware and informed.

I have a Motorola Xoom that was not supported back then and I downloaded an apk to work. After a short time, there was an app update. mioTV app updates are forced update in the sense that not up to date app will no even launch. This what happened to my Xoom.

After some time Xoom became a supported device but I was still not able to download and I was wondering why. Then I thought maybe because I flashed my Xoom to USA firmware to get the then latest supported Android. True enough when I flashed back to Singapore firmware, I was able to download the mioTV app.

So the gist is that mioTV app checks for a whole ship load of things. Not just any android device, not just any country firmware, but must be specific Singapore device and firmware.

I have a HP Touchpad now completely installed with Android Kitkat and no go for mioTV app.

I know how you feel. I'm not able to enjoy some apps too because they are not compatible with Windows phone.

Yeah, since 15 Jan. There was some good shows there, but at least there's Li channel, new Sony channel and some free preview until March.

I notice that usually it is the newer channels that get removed...

I just checked. There is Chinese sub-title. Select Chinese from the sub-title menu.

Naturally, no other language since the source (MediaCorp) only chinese sub-title.

Already selected "Mandarin" on both channel info screen subtitle language and also the main setting. Still no subtitles

Regarding English sub-title, my mistake there is indeed English sub-title. Sorry.

lccpor123,

Your screen looked like you ZOOM in, because the Ch8 logo is too high at the top edge. Which could also mean the lower part of the screen where the subtitle is "out of the screen" perhaps?

Basically when you zoom in, you can't see all. You lose all the 4 edges.
