Unfortunately Akagi is not in stock anywhere anymore and I won't pay stupid price on ebay etc for it. Maybe they will re-release it like the Deluxe Castle.

Schloss Neuchswanstein was never out of production I think.

color differences

could it be that there are some light color differences with the basic sets eg, white, yellow, brown compared to the sets budgerigar, panda.. basic sets parts seems to be little moe clear..

Yep thats one of the common complaints. Even the black colour some has a matt finishing while some have a shiny one. But usually its the same for me

my deluxe himeiji is finally in SG hope it gets sent to me today! haha..

btw i did up that church crossover from log-on. it's actually quite tedious to do :S

hahahaha.. that day those 3 kits my colleagues one ma.. the miffy is a birthday present.. generally they will try to do up themselves.. when they get stuck then they'll look for me. lol

but insects, etc will be in next mth! haha. actually i bought the white grand piano till now no time to do also.. haha.. crap...........

If want to do custom builds must get parts from other sets

the mamelogs in those glass bottles are not sold anywhere already. Those are "collectors items" now.

If you are getting them for collection, you can buy them on ebay or yahoo auction japan.

If you are thinking of getting them to custom make pieces, don't. Not worth it.
Rather you buy the basic colour sets or you calculate the number of pieces you need to custom make and buy several easily available kits.

You can buy the Banyan Tree at TBS. It's not extremely expensive. It will be more expensive to try to buy the parts separately to make it.

I remember seeing some Lego page/forum that does that.
Perhaps, even set up a website that lists down the various parts available in each kit.

Loads of effort and time needed to do this up though. I'm willing to be a contributor, but very hard for me to spear-head such an effort given my existing personal loads. Perhaps, if someone is keen to work with me on this. I could consider doing it.

I can set up a basic wiki site, handle the site hosting and all that
But i won't be able to contribute much nanoblock info as i only have a handful of sets
