not sure if it's a good idea to buy such an expensive item from taobao, not sure if the sellers can be trusted. and you will probably get the china version so you need to know how to flash oxygen OS yourself. and since it has battery, shipping might be the more expensive sensitive air shipping. plus duno if need to pay GST some more. after add all these things, maybe just buy the local set at $790 with 1 year warranty (assuming it really is $790) or just get the qoo10 version

China oneplus also will have the China rubbish app restriction?

I remember last time I bought xiaomi from China, no Google stuff at all

Haha read wrongly, but thanks for clearing my doubts. Shall see if its better to buy at qoo10 or lazada or street shops.

Anyway i was thinking if its better to buy 2nd hand pixel XL at this point. Can get like $450 to $500 ish

Specs is lower for cpu, but the camera and battery is arguably better. Screen is definitely downside if u really want the bezelless notch screen.

Other that than, u will be saving like $300. But think about the better pictures taken using google camera and also latest stock android u getting. I think you wont even feel the performance difference in real life between between sd 845 and sd 821

just go for 2nd hand 5T... 835 is more battery efficient than 821.

The battery for the XL is rated 78h on gsmarena which is not bad, but rem that you're buying 2nd hand and the batt might not be able to hold the charge as well as a brand new phone.

I've used the 3T (SD821) and the 5T (SD835) and I already can feel the perf difference between the 2, I'm pretty sure the diff between SD821 and 845 can be felt else there's really no point upgrading. Having said that, the SD821 is still plenty fast esp if you're running stock Android. And last thing for your consideration is Android P will probably be the last official OS Google will support for the 1st gen XL so unless you root and flash custom roms, your updates are going to end whereas for the OP6 you will still go to Q and maybe R even.

Yeah china phone wont have google play, so you need to flash the OS to OxygenOS to get it.

so far no news... Even oppo and vivo in indonesia also no oneplus official. Well to be exact they pulled out from Indonesia.

Flashing the phone to oxygen os should be easy i think. I always flash custom roms.

I see, okay thanks. Yea true, coz its used by the other user many times. Have to buy new battery and replace it. Updates isnt really an issue to me, because I knw the phone can flash custom roms. And actually i like flashing roms so no issue. Now that i think about it, I think biggest problem for me would be the screen, coz the bezel so big. Now 2018 already.

Haha, their camera isn't going to win any awards for sure. People buying this go for the frequent updates and dev community rather than good cam.
