Hey users.

For those of u with modern AC wifi routers and gigabit plans, are you able hit between 400-500mbps for wifi upload and download via speedtest?

I'm asking cos my current "modern" phone has a crappy WiFi modem hence I'm looking for a new phone.

On my home wifi (MR's 1GBPS plan), I get 434 Down and 485 Up using Speedtest.

You don't really need that much of speed for a phone. Not like you are downloading lots of stuff onto your phone. In additional, connection speed also needs to depend on the site you are surfing.

I do it for on site assurance test across devices and platforms. Which is why I'm using speedtest as a constant throughout and making sure. I just need the hardware to be up to par.

Been using the red OP6 8/128 for a week now.

Great zippy phone with a decent camera.

But my biggest gripe is the battery life. I can hardly make it home everyday...usually the be the day at around 15%. That's with about 4hrs 30mins or so of SOT only.

Are you all having about the same or do I need to look into optimizing my settings.

Depends on your usage i guess, for me i have 30% ish left when i reach home. If you know how to mod the phone, you can flash kernel and underclock your cpu for better battery life. Wont affect anything unless u play games.

Hehe not that tech savy to flash and under clock.

Using mainly for WhatsApp messaging and emails for work on WiFi networks. 2 hours or so of music over Bluetooth ear buds. Location services is usually off.

Haha, if you want long battery life, you should get Redmi Note 5 pro or Redmi Note 4 even best. Haha
