Ship and sold by Amazon = Amazon is the seller and they'll have to sort out warranty issues for you.

If it's purchased on Amazon but from third party sellers, you won't get the benefit of having Amazon settling warranty issues for you.

Maybe you should go try and Huawei phones first and see if you can live with emui interface

Maybe you should go try and Huawei phones first and see if you can live with emui interface

interface is not such a big issue for me (tried samsung, LG, ACER)

but i really interested to try stock android...just not sure the processor, speed and UI worth the 200 difference?

its not IP certified, they did mention it is water and dust resistant la. probably one of the way they cut some cost as obtaining IP certification needs money also

It wasn’t certified to have any ip rating though there are tests that the phone can survive in water for 5 mins.

Actually, OnePlus was smart not to get IP certification. Cut cost + they can refuse warranty if there's water damage. I can imagine some will abuse their devices if there was IP certification and OnePlus will have additional costs of fixing such devices if there's any water damage.

Smart or not doesn’t matter, it’s not a good thing to consumers that’s what matters.

You have to understand how much u pay for the phone. Cant expect much requirements. They already did their best to match flagship specs with lower price
