I don't understand the logic of OnePlus here. They put things that don't have any purpose, and ignore those features that users really want.

The most funny thing for me is the glass back. They made it glass without wireless charging, but introduced new line of cases for the phone. So what's the point of glass back?

They should have removed the 2nd camera and just slap the google camera app there. Then lessen the price. Lol

4K screen? Doubt that’s a feature most ppl need on a small device. What’s more it drains battery. Don’t see any usefulness at all other than showing off specs.

the main sensor seems like a upgraded version from the one used on oppo r15.

but other than extra features not sure how much better it is.

the secondary camera is pretty limited. other than giving more depth information not sure what else it can do lol

no 4K screen - can consider XZ premium. Even on my Mate 10, i only run it at 1080p instead of 1440p because 1440p takes up more battery when gaming. So 4k doesn't really make sense.

not IP65 - splash resistant so should at least be IP53?

not USB 3.1 - is there any real benefit of usb 3.1 over 2.0 other than transfer speed? Or display out?

no wireless charging - good to have, but not needed to make a phone fast.

no front facing stereo speakers - or they should at least follow how iPhone is using the top earpiece as the tweeter.

The main camera sensor on the OP6 has a larger sensor size and pixel size than the 5T and it has OIS so low light photography should be much better. The secondary camera is like the most useless feature of the phone. Rather they put in a telephoto lens or ultra wide angle lens.

The daily water rating actually can withstand rain, just no long term submersion. (Source: LinusTechTips visit to Oneplus Factory. They actually have a rain machine to test this for 100 hours of rain exposure.)

I suspect they either didn't manage to send it in in time for an IP rating, or they wanna cut cost.

The dual camera is like the oneplus 5T. Its to help with the low light and also portrait mode.

I do wish glass back means wireless charging, but as seen from LinusTechTips visit, i think there was an issue because one of the pcb rubs against the back panel and they needed to add an insulating sticker, so on the 6T maybe?

However, as i am using the 5T as my main phone, i don't see a need for the wireless charger with dash charging. Only need the hassle to have a car charger or bring your plug in charger with you, 30-45 mins in a cafe and you're good to go.

But hey, we are all wanting high specs for 2/3rds of other flagship prices, which is not easy to do.

actually a lot of "new features" are not really that essential.

Carl actually made a point about the wireless earphone and the earphone jack. most likely he wants to ditch the earphone jack but has strong resistance

as for notch, it is possible to remove it via software. android P has this option

The new 2nd camera is solely for portrait mode. It doesn't help with low light or anything.

Putting glass back without purpose is stupid. Yeah better reception, but 5 series don't have issue on this. Why make it more fragile?

Wireless charger (atleast for me) is also a safety net incase my port is spoiled. You have 2 options to charge in case. Back in my Sony Xperia Z2 days, I used the magnetic charging more because the flap design is so bad that time.

As for the price, yes they are cheaper.. if you are buying it from US or any countries it was released. But here, I'm sure the price will be around >$900. It's not cheap.

More worried about the price. The local distro 5T prices are pretty high. If they maintain the pricing for this will be the same price as P20 and more ex than Mate 10 x_x (or isit huawei throwing price?)
