Just ownself buy and then trade older model in when something newer comes out lor. haha.
Phone guru spotted, you have youtube channel?

Not as power as some of you guys here. I have a youtube channel with phone reviews that I do as a hobby. Used to just post written ones on my personal blogspot.Sony phones are crammed full of bloatware (some from telco too) which you can't disable or remove some of them without doing some ADB tomfoolery. And they send you all sorts of crap notifications trying to act smart but being a huge pain in the a$$. Last thing is Sony phones take forever to get updates. I have a relatively recent Sony phone for slightly more than 6 months and I only got 1.. yes 1 pathetic OS upgrade to Oreo 8.0 (not even 8.1)

Do a Singlish or Hokkien version like you used to pls....Not as power as some of you guys here. I have a youtube channel with phone reviews that I do as a hobby. Used to just post written ones on my personal blogspot.
i have a note 8 and cracked its screen lol been told that it's only worth $300 with a broken screen / lcd so I'm planning on selling it to some 2nd hand shop and then buying oneplus from qoo
been eyeing this phone for quite some time now, any Qoo promo? should i wait a while more or just buy now?
if u r not into warranty unit (local warranty) and want cheaper choice (export set)wait for the next qoo10 coupon this month ? if not go to Kasia, redwhite for their set with local warranty.i have a note 8 and cracked its screen lol been told that it's only worth $300 with a broken screen / lcd so I'm planning on selling it to some 2nd hand shop and then buying oneplus from qoo

Just curious which Sony devices that is though. I've gotten quite a few Sony flagships, and typically they are pretty okay with security patches at least. I find it okay in regards to bloat though, just a few annoying ones like the default keyboard, mostly can be ignored or disabled without use of adb. It's not like OxygenOS where they use more Google system apps, but it's not as bad as other OEMs like Huawei, LG, Samsung, Xiaomi. But yeah, software experience wise OxygenOS is definitely one of the best around, especially with all the customisation options inside.![]()

This is the first time I read of this nonsense. You mistaken Sony for Samsung??
Btw, what is that phone you are talking about?
Definitely a Sony, I haven't used Samsung in the last 5-6 years, avoiding them like the plague too.obvious a scam![]()
Mine's the XA1 plus, got it in Nov last year. Only had 1 upgrade since I got it. Sad.
Doesn't your Sony got crapware like Lounge, Assist, FB/FB Installer/FB Manager, What's New and 10 other rubbish + telco apps? I've already ADB uninstalled a lot of it but I remember quite a significant percentage can't be disabled else I wouldn't have had to resort to using ADB.
I disagree with you that the camera on the Op6 is only slightly better than the latest Sonys. The grain and water color effect is still ghastly. Sorry but I tend to pixel peep a little, and low light shots on the OP6 are far superior.
I kind of given up on them for the time being.

LOL waiting for better deals!!Just buy the phone!!
Is warranty really that important?if u r not into warranty unit (local warranty) and want cheaper choice (export set)wait for the next qoo10 coupon this month ? if not go to Kasia, redwhite for their set with local warranty.

Ah.. i normally don't go for their mid range phones. Sucks that they're not as on the ball when it comes to updates on those devices. It does have those apps, but i've been able to disable most of them on the phone itself, like the telco apps, AVG, Amazon, facebook app manager, etc. Even some Sony apps like the Lounge. Some of them can't be disabled, but only a small handful of non-intrusive ones. Maybe they lock it down for mid-range devices, which would really suck. haha.
Haha. for me I don't really pixel peep that much, and i've seen a bigger improvements on the XZ2 in terms of grain and image processing. for me it's mostly down to the style of image processing.
Like i'm looking zoomed in images from both phones here, it's really not as bad as it used to be. Ignore the lighting though since it's taken on different days, but the image processing itself is not that aggressive anymore. haha.

Lowlight is also not bad, but the larger pixel size and OIS i think helps the OP6 a lot, but Sony is not bad too. Not the most natural looking, but instagram-able.
But totally understandable where you're coming from. I've tested all their flagship series since the Xperia Z2, and the image processing was a **** show for a long long time. lol.
