I'm not sure of the preorder process at Sony Store, but I think it might be the same as game retail stores. The standard small deposit is required to confirm order (Or I might be wrong, maybe Sony Store require full payment upfront etc. Have to wait & see)

Back in 2013, I preorder PS4 from the game store at AMK Hub, and purchase it on launch day in December. I remember $50 deposit is required in advance to secure a set. PS4 $639 sold out fast, only left the PS4 + Battlefield 4/Killzone bundle at $699. If I remember correctly, I think there's also a PS4 + Camera bundle.

Hoping to see a PS5 + Spider-Man: Miles Morales bundle this time around.

I also purchased at AMK hub. I still remember i was one of the first guys to purchase the ps4 so the store took my photo haha!

Is Spider-Man: Miles Morales a new game on its own or a continuation from 2018?

It's a standalone spin-off. Story have been confirmed to take place one year after the events of Spider-Man 2018.

Smaller in overall scope & game length, comparable to Uncharted: The Lost Legacy & Infamous: First Light.

While the full blown sequel to Peter Parker's story, Spider-Man 2 for PS5, will probably release in either 2022/2023. Venom, Carnage & Mysterio are rumored to appear in the game.

PS3 outsold Xbox 360 (Even though Xbox 360 were much cheaper, had a massive 1-year headstart with no competition, releasing a whole year before PS3. And RROD where some ppl bought it multiple times, which further pad the sales numbers. But in the end, still got outsold by PS3).

PS4 outsold Xbox One (Best example of what would happen if both consoles launch in the same month).

Next gen, history will repeat itself. Globally PS5 will easily outsell both Xbox consoles combined.

Sega Saturn.

Arcade perfect fighting games. but failed at handling 3D polygons.The jap shining force never got translated to english on saturn...

The Saturn was more powerful than the PS1 by quite a bit. However, from what I read it was a nightmare to develop for, whereas it was far easier to get the most out of the power available on PlayStation.

I had one back in the day and loved it. Sega Rally, Virtua Fighter 2. Superb games for the day.

yeah. Saturn got 2 video processors. but was a nightmare to draw triangles.

a bit funny given Sega's pedigree in the arcades (Daytona USA and Virtua Fighter) which were 3D powerhouse and showing how important fps is in racing games~

[Bloomberg Japan] Sony cuts PS5 production by 4 million units after production yield issues

Bloomberg reporting that Sony has had to cut PS5 production by 4m units due to production yield issues with SoC.

Original plan was to produce 15m units by March 31, 2021. Now only 11m units may be produced due to the yield issue.

Other interesting tidbits on the article are insights from Masahiro Wakasugi, analyst on Bloomberg, that expects the consoles to be 399 for the Digital Edition and 449 for the console with disk drive.

Anyone knows if Sony SG will be the distributor in SG? I was pretty piss when Maxsoft force Nintendo Switch bundles when it was release here. And they will probably do the same shitty, dirty low tactics for PS5 as well.

Won’t be surprised that they will need to do that because modern consoles have always gone for the loss leader pricing by making up for in terms of games.

Plus limited consoles so even with bundles, it will still sell out.

Yes its Sony. Definitely not Maxsoft.

Maxsoft is the official distributor of Nintendo products in South East Asia region. Not PlayStation products.

Looking back at previous hardware launch of PlayStation products in Singapore. PSP, PS3, PS Vita, PS4 & PlayStation VR are all handled & distributed by Sony themselves. So most likely PS5 will be the same.
