I think the minimum requirements you need is at least a 4k 60hz TV. Prism don't have that. Not all PS5 games will be available in 120hz. 4k 60 TV should be sufficient. I personally am eyeing for a 4k TV as well, gotta upgrade from my 1080p plasma TV that already suffer from a burn in issue because played too much Assassin's creed odyssey lol!. Currently Sony TV has a deal on a x9000h 55inch for $1999,this TV support 120fps gaming & other features but you will need to wait for Sony official software update to support 120fps & vrr, Sale until 3rd Jan 2021 though. If I get news that my ps5 pre-order Will arrived soon I might just get this TV haha.

COURTS is selling the Sony 55' X9000H at $1849 online after throwing in all the discount vouchers

Omg, so fast the ps5 gaining traction on the dark side, first game kanna dump and extracted liao. :s22:

"Warez scene game rips from PS5 Blu Ray games have already surfaced on the internet. But of course, they’re not usable by anybody at this point.

Alleged dumps of PS5 games have been released by Warez group “BigBlueBox”. Among the spotted games is in particular AAA title Spider-Man Miles Morales. It is very likely that those are just dumps of the Blu Ray discs from a PC “as is”, and there is no guarantee that those can actually be used to play a pirated version of the game, if and when the PS5 ever gets a Jailbreak."

tbh... i dont think there will be many native 4k/120fps games.. either should be 1080p/120hz (performance mode option) or 4k/60hz or checkboard 4k/120. Unless really well optimized first party games.

Even higher end GPUs in PC hard to hit pass 60 frames at 4k, unless you drop most settings down..

For RTX 3080/3090 & RX6800XT should be able to hit above 4k/60fps with no sweat when Ray Tracing is turn off.
But when Ray tracing is turn on, most likely can maintain 4k/60fps

But consider PS5 & XSX gpu is like maybe less than half as powerful as these PC gpu, I think it may struggle to maintain 4k/60fps when Ray Tracing is turn on :s13:

First of all, I do not know much about TV (my current is just Full HD only, so yeah lol). I'm just reading through some of the posts about TV for PS5 here. I'm considering PRISM+ Q65 TV (more affordable 4K for most). Why is it so? Can elaborate? I don't want to make a wrong purchase.

My advise to avoid Prism. They are literally Full HD TV branded as 4K TV.

That's the problem. You are not supposed to only look at bandwidth.
The advantage of HDMI 2.1 with its 48Gbps is that not only does it enable 4K 120Hz gaming, but it also brought with it, very gamer centred features.

- ALLM (auto low latency mode) tells your TV when to enter game mode and when to not. So if you are watching videos on your PS5, it doesn't have to enter ALLM. So you get all the video processing done on your TV. Then in ALLM, you can choose more colour accurate picture presets like Expert Dark on your LG TV for example which has the most accurate picture colour amongst all the presets. So you don't have to be forced to use Game Mode which may have inaccurate colours unless you can calibrate it. So all your picture presets will also be like Game Mode but with more accurate colours thanks to ALLM.

- VRR (variable refresh rate). This is the killer feature. It is PERFECT for games that cannot achieve 120Hz. So consoles like the PS5 and XSX goes well with this. When your games fall below 120Hz, VRR will make the game appear extremely smooth due to the display now matching the time the GPU takes to release a frame as opposed to the GPU must attempt to match the TV's refresh rate. Extremely smooth motion. If you have a PC with G-Sync/FreeSync, you can tell how smooth even 60fps games with it on vs with it off. So we don't have to even care about a game not being able to achieve a locked 60fps. It can vary up and down if it wants. No tearing whatsoever.
So imagine, being able to use the High Fidelity Resolution mode on the PS5 and yet, get motion as smooth as High Framerate mode. That is what you will get when using VRR that it makes the High Framerate mode feel irrelevant. Unless you want to lower your input lag further, then by all means, use the High Framerate mode for multiplayer games.

- QFT (Quick Frame Transport). QFT transports each frame at a higher rate to decrease “display latency”. So how it works is, the console/PC will always transport at the full 48Gbps (or 40Gbps with the consoles) so your TV is always outputting at 4K 120Hz. At 4K 120Hz, you will lower the display lag. So even if your game is varying at 30fps for instance, you will still get the benefit a faster display of the frame thanks to the very low display lag that can display the frame way faster than if the TV is refreshing at a lower refresh rate.
So you can have your game with VRR running at 30fps (at this frame, your console will do frame doubling so that you can still have VRR when it is lower than the minimum refresh rate of the TV needed to get VRR) but your TV will still be outputting at 120Hz so your frames will come out way faster than if the TV is natively adapting to the refresh rate and outputting at a slower 30Hz. This can result in clearer motion too.

- As for videos, thanks to 120Hz, you will get smoother motion handling thanks to the proper 5:5 pulldown from 24Hz to 120Hz on the C9. Meaning, there is no missed frames when compared to 24Hz and 60Hz display output where it is a 3:2 pulldown. Thus, you will get improper frames.
This can be experienced with panning shots in movies and especially anime where there's a lot of panning shots. It helps get rid of judder basically without having to depend on your TV motion smoothing effect that will make your videos have that soap opera effect as a side effect.

Not to mention, enjoying the HDR content properly. Prism+ E43 TV only peaks around 260 nits (have a look at their tech specs). That is basically SDR based range. Even your SDR TVs can already do that. You can't see the HDR impact at such low brightness. You need a minimum of 400 nits. But that in itself is the bare minimum. So do take note. You won't get to enjoy the proper HDR experience with Prism TVs.
Take note, since Prism is LCD based, it means the blacks are lifted. Meaning blacks is displayed as shining light greys. This also means your range is now even shorter.
It is like having a TV that can do 50 nits to 260 nits.
Vs OLEDs that can do true blacks. So it can do from 0 nits up to 800 Nits for example.

PS. The Prism+ Q65 TV has a peak brightness of only 350 nits. Again, way below the bare minimum of 400 nits. Definitely a no-go.

In short, cheap not good, good not cheap. Lol, but anyway, largely depend on the budget lah, if don't mind all the compromises as mentioned. Can go for prism+ lor, treat it as a value for money 4K china tv like Xiaomi can le..
