Are OLED TVs still facing burn in issues? I've been thinking of getting the LG CX series too, but I remember that OLED burn in was a huge deterring factor when I was doing homework for my TV purchase 5 years back.

Btw, below is the change log for latest firmware version, should be solving some of the issue as reported there.

Its kinda odd that this thread has now kinda change its chatter to TV. But I too am considering also, so I'll chime in

However, my consideration points are
1. For gaming (1st) since its in my study room
2. Occasional Netflix/Apple TV

Thus, must haves
- Size: 55' 4K
- HDMI 2.1
- Variable Refresh Rate
- eARC
- 4k/120hz
- Around budget $1k (not gonna spend on OLED as I assume true blacks are good mainly for movies)

Kinda narrowed down to 2 choices on Carousell really
1. TCL QLED 55R635 ($950)
- 1 year warranty by parallel importer
- ROKU OS, not sure if it works in SG despite ROKU having one of the best OS with all apps

2. Samsung QLED 55Q70T ($1,200)
- 3 years warranty
- Tizen OS, with all apps supported

Will prob wait for the Samsung QLED Q70T to drop price further then go in for it.

Just checked, the TCL quite good price for the specs!

Just measured my desk and 55" is a little too large.

48" will most likely be just nice, but there seems to be a dearth of TVs (with good specs, mind you) available in Singapore

The general rule of thumb is 55" and above for premium tvs in our local market.

yea i know, but im gonna use it more as a large monitor for my PC / PS5.

I.e. desk use, not console.

The larger gaming monitors are just not worth the money imo.

Just curious why is it too small since most hdb are also not very big unless one is staying in a much bigger home, otherwise I thought 55 inch is more than enough.

haha my house is configured alittle differently.

The sofa / hall is only for reading and listening, strictly no TV there. on the other end of the hall is my media storage / PC, which is where i plan to place the PS5 and monitor ( hence the need for something slightly a little smaller ).
