How are you guys placing your PS5 - vertical or horizontal? Is it true that placing it vertical is more prone to causing disc drive issues?

I managed to resolve the disc eject failure by booting up in safe mode and rebuilding database. No issue afterwards. However my observation is that the eject is noticeably louder. First eject usually quiet. Subsequently will be with a loud click click sound. Will bring in to service centre tmr for a piece of mind.

Anyone facing this issue? I’m playing AC Valhalla PS5 version (Region 3 PS4 game disc upgrade) on a PS5. Currently the button ‘O’ is for confirm and the button ‘X’ is for cancel/back. Anyway to make the In-game O and X button into cancel and confirm respectively?

Quite confusing for both PS5 menu and game menu

Only AC:V ps4 disc > ps5 upgrade got button O as confirm, but for Spiderman:MM and Watch Dogs Legion, no issues.

Anyone can verify on thier AC:V ps4 disc > ps5 upgrade?

Morning! Anyone here playing Star Wars Squadrons on PS5? It plays fine but I get purple horizontal bands on some cut scenes and some cut scenes the background screen color/images turns wonky. Actual game play seems fine.

I haven’t found anything online so far only issues with the VR version but I’m just playing the normal edition.

No similar issues on Morales or Genshin Impact. So not sure if it’s the game itself or my hardware?

TV is on hdmi 2.0 and settings from Vincent Teoh.

The PS5 was designed to operate both vertical and horizontal positions. There should not be any disc drive issues for either!

I use it in horizontal and the stand sucks. U move abit, the stand will dislodge from the console. Bad design idea

I saw a PS5 selling at $1180. Was thinking of buying as a birthday present for my son. I feel its a bit expensive, anyone got any good lobang that i can get at $1k?

I think its a good price, I paid mine for $1100. So Neg abit can buy ba. Why wait until mid of next year when u can pay abit more to play immediately.

U don't have a ps5?

I mentioned horizontal. U cant screw it horizontally as there is no hole on the ps5 white panels

800 bux is not small amt to most pple.
They should state it if really have ex-stock.
By not listing what is in the package, can they stuff in any Sony gaming items?

I wouldn’t even spend 80 bux on a “mystery” box.

The first thing that comes to mind when I see this bundle, is that its not related to PS5 at all. Since PS5 isn't even mentioned on that page. Its 'Sony Gaming Bundle Box Xmas Special'.

That $783 mystery box looks like a PS4 Pro bundle with 2 controllers & 2 games (God of War/Last of Us Remastered or Horizon/Spider-Man) + additional 3rd Dualshock 4 Controller + another game like Sackboy: A Big Adventure or Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Either that or its a PS4 Slim + PlayStation VR (Iron Man/PS Camera/PS Move).

Just received a message from Sony store 313 asking if I’m ok to change my order from Digital to Disk. The Digital version is really limited.

Thanks for the reply. Should have got the game on the Xbox x instead to try the better settings (my other tv has 2.1).

4K UST projector? How interesting! How sharp are the images etc?
