[Official] Playstation 5

Do you all leave your game disc inside the PS5 all the time? Else need to keep taking in and out.

I used to just keep the disc in there for my og ps4 (until beaten the game) for many years and never encountered any issue. Should be okay also for ps5? I'm using horizontal position if that even matters.

I know it’s the price you pay for Launch consoles and all that. But 1 month since I got the launch day set:
1) I’ve had to change my motherboard as my Lan port stopped working
2) the Right Trigger of one of my Dual Sense has no resistance anymore. I heard something snap while I was playing FIFA

On the plus side- the one man service Center team
In Singapore is quite awesome

I mentioned horizontal. U cant screw it horizontally as there is no hole on the ps5 white panels

If you bought the set within 7 days- 1 to 1 exchange. Anything after that , they will repair your set. The guy at the service Center was an absolute professional though. He diagnosed the issue and replaced the motherboard within 24 hours

If it’s digital plus other items I ok, but later buy come ps4 non pro some more sian.

For the controller trigger problem, probably can stock up on PS4's trigger springs since they use the same ones. The PS5's trigger problem is linked to the existing weak springs. Costs less than $2 for 10pcs off shopee.

If still within warranty, definitely go back for exchange. Convenience/time-wise, probably can consider this DIY fix.

Thanks for the reply. Should have got the game on the Xbox x instead to try the better settings (my other tv has 2.1).

4K UST projector? How interesting! How sharp are the images etc?

Did not really have the chance to try it out but I can see on the PS5, it is able to output at 2160p with HDR enabled.

I am projecting it on a 110” ALR screen so playing during daytime is not an issue.

Will probably removed the PSVR, tons of cables n it is quite messy. VR needs i just stick to the Oculus.

Yup the buttons changed for ps5. When I go bk to my ps4, I kept pressing cancel and confirm wrrongly

if you updated your ps4, there's an option to change the buttons to follow like the ps5.

Some PS4 games are locked to region button layouts instead of follow playing system region

Finally managed to get my PS5 on Christmas eve and managed to find time to set it up two days ago.

Bought FIFA21, Demon Souls, Spider Man Miles Morales, Assassin Creed Vahala, Dualsense Charging Dock, and extra Dualsense.

Honestly, cant really tell big diff in terms of graphics compared to PS4 Pro. Maybe I did not did a side by side comparison with PS4pro and PS5. The graphics did not really wow, maybe I had been using Oled 4K to game for my PS4 pro...

What impressed me is the Dualsense Controller. It really elevates the gaming experience. I had ordered some Custom PS5 Shells as well as dualsense shells to replace the outer shell instead of dipping them.

Apart from the PS5 and games, I had also finally gotten the last few Hot Toys figures for my collection.

60 FPS alone is a huge upgrade. The frame rate is next-gen for me. Not the fidelity.

Yea for me its more the loading, controller and the 60fps. But i haven really tried miles morales and Demon souls so cant say much about visuals

I'm using the Asia psn store. bought Dirt 5 using my ps4 and wanted to get the free ps5 upgrade on my ps5, but am unable to do so as the Ps5 version is labelled as 'coming soon'.

anybody here got a solution or a similar experience? I have already written to codemasters but not sure what else I can do.
