i got my ps4 nioh2 update to ps5 foc

but i only have a regular 4k tv
the game asset look MUCH better vs the ps4 BC mode

Maybe it's time to upgrade TV. Quite affordable now actually. I only have Nioh complete EDT (ps4) and didn't even finish it (@ Umibozu Boss). Halted and waiting for this collection to jump back in. Interested to see how smooth 120fps is. Guess most will still prefer 4K + 60fps?

I didn't say Sony is losing money, I said they are losing money on PS5 sales. The gaming division as a whole is obviously profitable, thanks to PS4 sales, subs and software sales.

ps4 console wasnt profitable on day 1, after an year yes but not on day 1, same will be the case for ps5, but maybe more than an year for it now. Plus they dont really make money from consoles, mostly from subscriptions and games, since sony takes 30% of every game sold on their platform

No it was profitable right from the get go.

PS4's bill of materials industry estimates ranged from 296 - 381 usd in 2013, so even if you take the high end of the estimates its still lower than the 399 MSRP.

PS5's BOM was $450, that was before the pandemic and the chip shortage (which sent prices skyrocketing), also dun forget that Sony also offers a digital version of PS5 at $399, there is no way the blu ray drive is $50 at cost, so they were already losing a lot of money on the $399 digital versions before the pandemic, the losses would be even more severe now.

i was out passing sony somerset kpkb say online sales and we all still queue.. they say people who manage to get online will be remove from store list so the list will move up accordingly

There's no free upgrade for nioh1

This review mention 120fps as having issues & being the least consistent among the 3 graphics mode. Fluctuating framerate. There's also occasional stutter when traversing through larger levels (This issue only occur in 120fps Mode).

4K 60fps Mode is extremely stable.

PS5 Standard Mode brings the resolution down to 1080p with slight visual improvements to shadows, reflections etc.

Their overall conclusion is it doesn't look much different/better than PS4 version. BC PS4 version still holds up when played on a PS5 with the Variable Movie Mode selected.

you mean your delivery date is feb end? if that's the case why interested in the april one, unless you dont need it now, and if its feb end delivery date, i would be willing to take it off you.

any idea whether its march or april, if its april then i would probably get the call from sony itself since i registered with them jan 2, by april i should get it, if its march then yes, i would take it.

Btw the orders from sony online store is different stock as compared to the physical store, which is weird to learn actually.
